Kennedy High School Presents “The Fantasticks” October 7, 8, 9Production also to be performed at the Iowa Thespian Conference
The Kennedy High School Theatre Department performs Broadway’s longest running musical, “The Fantasticks,” October 7, 8 and 9 in the school’s Black Box Theatre
Best known for the classic song “Try to Remember,” “The Fantasticks” ran on Broadway for an unprecedented 17,000 performance, opening in 1960 and closing in 2002.
The Kennedy production has also achieved a rare, state-wide honor. It will “go on the road,” as one of the featured performances at the Iowa Thespian Festival. The show will be staged for over 1,000 high school students and drama teachers at UNI’s Gallagher Bluedorn Center for The Performing Arts on November 13.
The show is rated PG-13. Show times are 7:00pm October 7, 8, 9. Tickets are $8 for adults & $5 students & seniors. Online orders will be taken through Oct. 3rd at www.seatyourself.biz/kennedy. Beginning October 4th, tickets may be purchased at the Kennedy box office from 2:45-4pm or one hour before show time. For more information, call (319) 558-1426. John F.
