The Power of Consequence

According to Thomas Kuhn, American intellectual and

philosopher of science, power is “the ability to satisfy one’s wants through

the control of preferences or opportunities” (Kuhn 317). Thus, in order for

an individual to increase or enhance power she must first possess autonomy,

the freedom to choose one’s preference.
