Client: Department of DefenceThe LHDs are 230m long, 25m wide, have 15 decks andare the largest ships in the RAN's history. KBR developed a3D ship walkthrough model which has been enhanced andrepurposed to become an integral part of the LHD trainingsystem. Navy now has a 3D walkthrough of the ship in agaming engine, with avatars leading scenario-based training,delivered by KBR at a purpose-built training facility inSydney.

Client: Department of DefenceThrough a KBR and HII JV, NSI is delivering a uniqueorganisation with the national purpose of ensuring therequired workforce is equipped with the right skills at theright time to implement the Australian government'sambitious naval shipbuilding program.

2018Hornsby Rail$200,000

Client: Transport for NSWSydney Trains wanted to visualise what drivers would seewhen they entered Hornsby Station, on any of its 6 newlines. A gaming engine was used to host the engineering,point cloud and CAD data. This provided unlimited flexibility.It was so successful that the model was ported to VR andthen delivered as familiarisation and training to drivers,freeing up expensive and high-demand simulators.

Client: TasWaterThe Program delivered potable water supply to 17Tasmanian townships, delivered under multiple design &construct (D&C) work packages covering new membranetreatment plants, transfer pipework, storages, pump stationsand disinfections systems, and reticulation networks. KBRhas a team working alongside TasWater. Services includeproject management, contract management, suppliermanagement and procurement, engineering reviews,stakeholder engagement and health and safetymanagement.

2017Darlington Upgrade Project$25,000,000

Client: Gateway South JV: Fulton HoganConstruction Pty Ltd and Laing O'RourkeAustralia Construction Pty LtdThe Darlington Upgrade Project is a key step in the upgradeof Adelaide's 78km North-South Corridor. The project willdeliver a 3.3km extension of the Southern Expressway. Thiswill remove 5 sets of traffic lights, improving the travel timefor north-south traffic and grade separating Adelaide'sbusiest intersection. KBR, in joint venture, provided allengineering services for the project.

2017North West Rail Link, New South Wales$8,000,000,000

Client: Northwest Rapid Transit, for Transportfor New South WalesThe project consists of construction of 23 km of a newelectrified, twin track, rapid transit railway between Eppingand Rouse Hill, twin 15 km tunnels from Bella Vista toEpping. KBR is undertaking engineering and design of track(horizontal and vertical alignment), overhead traction, railsystems, tunnel drainage, associated civil works, structures(buildings, overhead traction), building services, and a railmaintenance facility. Its the largest project underconstruction in Australia.

2017SA Water Project Management andProcurement$1,500,000,000

Client: SA WaterKBR has entered a project management and procurement(PMP) contract with SA Water to jointly manage the deliveryof SA Water's capital works program for metropolitanAdelaide. KBR provides program and project management,planning and procurement of design and constructionservices. Following client evaluation of the team'sperformance as 'exceptional', the contract was extendedfrom 5 years to 7 years to the end of June 2018.

2016Botany Industrial Engineering Services, NewSouth Wales$100,000,000

Client: OricaSince 1998, KBR and Orica Australia entered into analliance by which KBR has provided multidisciplinaryengineering services to the New South Wales operations ofOrica at Botany Industrial Park. The alliance agreementcovers three major industrial companies based at the site,namely Orica, Huntsman and Qenos, which produce arange of chemicals and plastics. Projects have included thedesign and construction of a product handling andconveying system for Qenos' alkathene plant (in 2001).

2016Marine ILS Support$8,000,000

Client: South East Asian clientIn 2010, KBR was engaged to provide ILS and logisticsupport analysis planning for several system components ofthe Republic of Singapore Navy's 'Formidable' Class frigate,and to collaboratively prepare the successful tenderresponse for the design and construction of patrol vesselsfor a Middle Eastern navy - for which KBR has since beencontracted to provide ILS and LSA services anddocumentation. In 2011 we were contracted to conduct anILS capability gap analysis and training needs analysis

Client: Navantia (end client - Department ofDefence - Navy)KBR is a key partner to the shipbuilder, Navantia SA,providing Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) services to theprogram.

Alongside its personnel's technical and operationalknowledge, KBR has used the proprietary ConsolidatedAnalysis Toolset (CATS) to analyse, design, develop andimplement a holistic ADF-compliant ILS solution thatprovides the required artefacts to transition the programfrom the Acquisition Phase to the Sustainment (In-Service)phase of the ship lifecycle.

2015Regional Rail Link, Victoria$4,000,000,000

Client: Regional Rail Link AuthorityKBR, in joint venture, undertook investigations, functionaldesign development, prepared documentation forprocurement of the project and supported the client withkey project approvals, land acquisition and community andstakeholder engagement for the $5 billion project. RRL is amajor development of Melbourne's rail network, consistingof a 50 km, twin-track rail line, running from west ofWerribee to Southern Cross Station via Tarneit andSunshine in greenfield and brownfield locations.

2014Carmichael Coal Mine Bankable FeasibilityProject, Queensland$10,000,000,000

Client: Adani Mining Pty LtdThe project is part of Adani Mining Pty Ltd's long-termstrategy to deliver up to 40 Mt/a of product coal. KBR wasengaged to coordinate delivery of the Bankable FeasibilityStudies for 3 projects at the site including the Coal MineProject, North Galilee Basin Rail Project and the Abbot PointCoal Terminal 0 Project. KBR undertook oversight of allengineering and project management functions, andthrough the BFS Reports, documented the status of eachproject and preparedness for execution.

2014Esperance Port Access Corridor Upgrade,Western Australia$100,000,000

Client: John Holland Pty Ltd for Main RoadsWestern AustraliaThe access corridor for Esperance Port is being upgraded toimprove the safety and efficiency of heavy freight access tothe port by removing at-grade conflicts between road andrail. The $120 million project comprises 2 km of rail androad realignment, including two bridges; a rail tunnel, 150 mlong; a pedestrian underpass, 55 m long; and provision fortwo additional railway tracks in future. 2014

LHD Capability Support Coordinator (CSC)$150,000,000

Client: Department of Defence - DefenceMateriel OrganisationIn 2014 KBR was awarded a contract by the DefenceMateriel Organisation (DMO) to provide the CapabilitySupport Coordinator (CSC) services for the CANBERRAClass Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) ships.

The CSC team provides sustainment services includingconfiguration management, data management,maintenance monitoring, engineering and supply supportservices, all within an Asset Management framework tomeet the technical integrity, seaworthiness and missionpreparedness of the LHD ships.

2014Mains and Kessels Roads Intersection Upgrade-Contract Administration & Verification$100,000,000

Client: Department of Transport and Main RoadsThe Queensland Government through the Department ofTransport and Mains Road (TMR) appointed KBR as thePrincipals Representative Delegate, Contract Administratorand Independent Verifier for the Mains Road and KesselsRoad Intersection Upgrade Project, Brisbane. 2014Melbourne Airport Terminal 2 TransformationProject Management, Victoria$2,000,000,000

Client: Australia Pacific Airport Melbourne PtyLtdThe master plan for Melbourne Airport plans to develop theinternational terminal, Terminal 2, with a $2.8 billionprogram of landside, terminal and airside works over the 20years to 2033. KBR (in joint venture) undertook anassessment of the feasibility of the proposed transformationof Terminal 2, investigating a range of projects which canimplement it. They will be staged to meet increasingpassenger demands while minimising the effects on airportoperations.

2014New Royal Adelaide Hospital PPP, SouthAustralia$2,000,000,000

Client: SA Health Partnership consortiumKBR is part of the SA Health Partnership consortiumcontracted for the design, construction and maintenance ofthe New Royal Adelaide Hospital-the largest public-privatepartnership in Australia. KBR provided civil and structuralengineering services, and site surveillance. Once constructed, the hospital will be the most advanced in Australia and thesingle largest infrastructure project in the state's history.

2014Southern Expressway Duplication, SouthAustralia$400,000,000

Client: Department of Planning, Transport andInfrastructureThis significant piece of DPTI and South Australianinfrastructure was recently modified as part of the DPTIvision for a 78km non-stop North South Corridor. The 18.5km duplication included the construction of a newcarriageway adjacent to the existing, formerly reversiblesingle carriageway, remodelling of interchanges, 20 bridgeswidened, duplicated or lengthened, one new flyover bridge,significant services and ITS works, all within a heavilytrafficked motorway corridor.

2013Eastern Tertiary Alliance, Victoria$400,000,000

Client: Melbourne Water CorporationTertiary treatment of wastewater at the Eastern TreatmentPlant was implemented to improve the quality of finaleffluent from Class C to Class A. Phase 1 saw KBR, as analliance partner, undertake pilot testing and evaluation oftreatment options, concept design and functional designwhich provided treatment capacity up to 750 ML/d. ForPhase 2, KBR provided design management, detaileddesign/documentation, environmental services, & technicaladvice during the construction, commissioning period.

2013Hope Downs 4 Iron Ore Mine Project$1,000,000,000

Client: Pilbara IronThe Hope Downs 4 Project was a greenfield minedevelopment in the Pilbara region of West Australia. Itsfacilities are designed to handle 15 million dry tonnes of orea year. KBR delivered the original preliminary and definitiveengineering study for the Hope Downs 4 project beforebeing engaged to provide engineering, procurement andconstruction management (EPCM) services for the minedevelopment. KBR's scope of services included design,engineering, procurement, project & construction mgmt.

2013Maritime facilities, Gorgon LNG Project$8,000,000,000

Client: Kellogg Joint Venture Group for ChevronAustraliaAn LNG production plant of three trains, each 5 Mt/a, is tobe constructed on Barrow Island to process gas from theGreater Gorgon gas fields which lie approximately 140 kmoff the north-west coast of Western Australia. In addition toleading the design and installation of the LNG plant, KBRdesigned the maritime facilities for the $43 billion project.These will be used for offloading all plant,equipment/materials for construction of the plant and amarine trasport on completion.

2013Mid West Rail Upgrade, Western Australia$500,000,000

Client: Brookfield Rail Pty Ltd (formerly WestNetRail Pty Ltd)the MidWest Rail Upgrade upgraded the existing railwayfrom Geraldton to Tilley to facilitate the transport of orefrom the Karara magnetite mine to the port of Geraldton.KBR undertook independent verification of the basis ofdesign, the cost estimate and the construction schedule forthe upgrade as well as the operational planning for theupgraded railway. KBR also undertook independentcertification of the cost, time and quality aspects from theperspective of risk to the financiers.

2013Pluto Riser Platform$300,000,000

Client: Woodside Energy LtdThe foundation Pluto LNG Development consists of subseawells located in permit WA-350-P with a riser and gasexport platform with the capability to transfer 1,600 MMscfdin water depth of more than 285 feet (85 meters). A36-inch subsea pipeline connects the 5,000-tonne topsideoffshore platform to Train 1 of the Pluto LNG facility at theBurrup peninsularKBR (via EOSJV) contributed to every phase of thedevelopment of the Pluto Riser Platform from conceptselect to follow-on engineering.

2013Rehabilitation and Upgrade of 3, 4 and 5 WebbDock, Port of Melbourne, Victoria$1,000,000,000

Client: Port of Melbourne CorporationKBR prepared detailed designs and documentation forstructural upgrading and remedial works at 3, 4 and 5Webb Dock. These works would be required as a result ofthe retrodredging of the berths for the channel deepeningproject. KBR's designs were fully costed and will provideessential input into the planning and budgeting for theproject. The detailed designs were based on earlier conceptdesigns and feasibility studies for some of the wharves anddetailed designs for the others.

2012Goonyella to Abbot Point Rail Expansion (CoalConnect Alliance), Queensland$400,000,000

Client: Aurizon (formerly QR National)KBR, as part of the CoalConnect project alliance, deliveredcivil components for the $1.1 billion Goonyella to AbbotPoint Expansion Project for Aurizon (formerly QR National).At the time of construction, the project represented thelargest ever investment in rail infrastructure in Australia. Itlinked and upgraded the rail lines of two of Queensland'smajor coal systems, Newlands and Goonyella, enabling thecoal transport capacity to the port of Abbot Point to bedoubled.

2012North Rankin B Platform$3,000,000,000

Client: Woodside Energy LtdThe NR2 Project recovers low pressure gas from the NorthRankin and Perseus gas fields. The project included theinstallation of a second platform (North Rankin B) whichstands in about 125 metres of water. The North Rankin Bplatform is connected by a 100 metre bridge to the existingNorth Rankin A platform. The NR2 Project will also includenecessary tie-ins and refurbishment of North Rankin A.Upon completion, both platforms operate as a singleintegrated facility.

2012Townsville Port Expansion, Queensland$100,000,000

Client: Seymour Whyte Smithbridge JointVenture (for Port of Townsville Limited)In order to meet the demands of growth, Port of TownsvilleLimited undertook an expansion of the inner harbour of theport and works at Berths 8 and 10. As design consultant tothe successful design-build tenderer for the project, KBRundertook concept development and design for the tenderstage and detailed design of all structural and civil works forconstruction of the project, including fenders and mooringsystems.

2012Wandoo Housing Project, Western Australia$300,000,000

Client: Rio Tinto Iron Ore Expansion ProjectsProviding an improved and upgraded standard ofaccommodation that best suits the requirements of futuremining operations in in the Pilbara region saw KBR carry outa thorough engineering investigation of the remote town ofPannawonica's existing facilities and the level ofrefurbishment that would be required to bring it up to anacceptable standard. Following the study, KBR was engagedto execute engineering, procurement and constructionmanagement (EPCM) upgrade package.

2011Gawler Railway Line Upgrade D&C, SouthAustralia$20,000,000

Client: John Holland-Coleman Rail Joint Venture(for South Australian Railway Commissioner)The line was upgraded to make significant improvements inthe structure, geometric alignment, drainage system andfuture maintenance of the line.KBR provided engineering design and documentation to thejoint venture undertaking the design and constructioncontract for Stage 1 of the upgrade, approximately 7.64 kmof dual track between Adelaide and Dry Creek.

2011Ted Smout Memorial Bridge, Queensland$300,000,000

Client: Department of Transport and Main RoadsThe Queensland Government undertook a duplication ofthe Houghton Highway that features a 2.7-km long, 3-lanebridge built above the extreme wave conditions possible inMoreton Bay in south-east Queensland. The bridge acrossBramble Bay is the longest bridge in Australia. KBR wasresponsible for investigation, planning, design anddocumentation for the bridge and ancillary structures, whichhave been built by the Hull-Albem-Bielby Joint Venture.

2009Moomba Carbon Storage Project, ConceptStudy, South Australia$700,000,000

Client: SantosKBR investigated the technical and economic feasibility ofcapturing all CO2 separated at the Moomba gas plant, andthen treating, compressing and transporting it by pipeline forsequestration in nearby oil reservoirs.
