Choose the size that is approx 0-7% smaller than your actual foot circumference. The slipped stitch patterning is not as elastic as other stitch patterns. Sample size is 8 " / 21 cm foot circumference. YARN 1 skein SweetGeorgia Yarns Bulletproof Sock in Stealth Mode (437 yd / 400 m per 3.5 oz / 100 g skein; 50% Superwash Merino, 15% Silk, 15% Mohair, 20% Nylon). NEEDLES & NOTIONS Size 1 US / 2.25 mm needles: for magic loop, 32" / 80 cm circular; for two needles, (2) 24" / 60 cm circulars; or set of double-pointed needles Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. Change to Right Jacquard patt and rep Rows 1-12 until leg meas approx. 2 1/2 (4 1/2, 6 1/2, 7, 7 3/4, 8 1/2)" / 6.5 (11.5, 16.5, 18, 19.5, 21.5) cm or to desired length before heel. Note the last rnd worked in the Right Jacquard patt (so that you can resume in the correct place after the heel flap).

Heel Flap

Remove the BOR m. Group the last 18 (24, 24, 30, 30, 36) sts onto one needle to be worked for the heel flap. Leave the rem 18 (24, 30, 30, 36, 42) sts on hold for the instep With RS facing, work back and forth in rows on heel flap sts as follows:

Row 1 (RS): Sl 1, k10 (12, 12, 16, 16, 18), ssk, k1, turn. 17 (23, 23, 29, 29, 35) sts.

Row 2 (WS): Sl 1, p6 (3, 3, 6, 6, 4), p2tog, p1, turn. 16 (22, 22, 28, 28, 34) sts; there are 4 (8, 8, 10, 10, 14) sts rem on either side of the turning gaps; 8 (6, 6, 8, 8, 6) sts in between the turning gaps.

Row 3: Sl 1, knit to 1 st before the gap, ssk, k1, turn. 15 (21, 21, 27, 27, 33) sts.

Row 4: Sl 1, purl to 1 st before the gap, p2tog, p1, turn. 14 ( 20, 20, 26, 26, 32) sts.
