GUIDELINES FOR NOMINATIONS

The South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE) has an annual award for the most outstanding Young Achiever of the Year in the field of Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

Whether such a person works in large progressive companies or organizations, or in smaller dynamic ones, is of no consequence – it is the spirit of achievement, creativity and leadership that count. These rare qualities must be recognized and nurtured wherever they are found. Innovative, entrepreneurial action, and an infectious enthusiasm to succeed, are the qualities exhibited by young achievers.

The SAIEE appeals to all, to nominate persons for this prestigious award.

Age: Up to and including 35 years of age during the stated calendar year of the award.

Eligibility: Open to all persons living in South Africa (Members and Non-Members) for current major contributions in the electrical / electronic engineering field.

The SAIEE Young Achievers Award is sponsored to the amount of R10 000-00 and a floating trophy.

Nominations are now invited for the Young Achievers Award which will be presented to the winner at the SAIEE Annual Banquet, which will take place on 21 October 2016 at the Wanderers Club, Illovo, Johannesburg.

Closing date for nominations is 16 September 2016.

The motivation should contain the nominee’s curriculum vitae giving details of academic achievements, appointments, professional experience, vocational career, membership of professional bodies, publications, research or other awards and any other information including supporting documents from specialists, relevant to the judgement of the award.
