All inv isible f emal e bein gs ar e my form s: All goddess es an d demi-goddesses, All titanesses an d demonesses, All serpe nt beings, na tu re goddess es an d gh ost maiden s, All lot us eaters an d fe mal e dev ils, And all hu man girls too, All female an imals an d h un gry gh osts, All priest esses an d h igh born ladies, All tra ding women an d w orkin g w omen , All those born as w riter s an d qu een s, Teachers and scholars, Tax collectors and gardeners, Prostitutes and dyers, Potters and huntresses, Outcastes, musicians and toilet cleaners, Washerwomen, barmaids and sweet-makers, Blacksmiths' women, courtesans and dancers, Bronzesmiths' and goldsmiths' women, Fisherwomen and butchers' women, Butter churn ers a nd flower-women, Ascetics and conch-shell artisans, Cane-splitter s and poetesses, Cow-herds and arrow-makers, Stone-masons' women, Wood gathers and jewellers: I come in the form of women of all classes and trades, And I am m oth er, sister and wife, Aun t a nd niece, Great-aunt and mother-in-law, And ev ery other kind of female rel ation . And I am ev ery tan tric pract itione r an d y ogini, And widow an d asc etic. I take the forms of all these women Who now live to serve all sentient beings. 'Confident each in her own mode, Whichever form the yogi encoun ters He should kiss and embrace her, And u nit ing lotus an d v ajra in con su mmat ion He serves and honours her. With an altruistic desire to aid all sentient beings, Serving women through lov e, the yogin gai ns power. Power is bestowed instantaneously - For that reason the yogin should serve women. Woman is heaven an d woman i s truth, Woman is the highest ascetic path, Th e Buddha is woman and women are the community , And woman is per fect wisdom. 'Women are distinguished psychologically
