Today’s Collect, the special prayer that brings together the themes for today
God of glory, by the raising of your Son you have broken the chains of death and hell: fill your Church with faith and hope; for a new day has dawned and the way to life stands open in our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Readings for today: Palm Sunday Acts 10.34-43 Colossians 3.1-4 John 20.1-18
Keeping Us in Touch
Jesus Christ is risen to-day, Alleluya! Our triumphant holy day, Alleluya! Who did once, upon the Cross, Alleluya! Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluya! Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluya! Unto Christ, our heavenly King, Alleluya! Who endured the Cross and grave, Alleluya! Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluya! But the pains that he endured Alleluya! Our salvation have procured; Alleluya! Now above the sky he’s King, Alleluya! Where the angels ever sing. Alleluya!

Establishing a Routine is Essential Find a routine that works for you, and
build in time for activity. Break the day into chunks. First thing in the morning, do you do some physical
activity before breakfast? Go for a walk or run before breakfast, then have a
shower, breakfast and then get to work. Have a period of work stopping for lunch
when you would normally. During lunch there’s time for more
activity, doesn’t have to be long, there are plenty of videos online that are ten to fifteen minutes long and easy to slot
into a break. Even while working, try to move around,
walk while you ‘phone. Move your printer away from your desk so you have
to get up to get the printing.
A Parish Giving Plea During this time when we are not
gathering in our church buildings, please remember that we still have to pay for them. If your practice is to bring your
collection to church weekly to put in the offertory plate, please would you
consider setting aside the equivalent amount (perhaps in a special jar) so that
when we are able to meet again, your offering can be made. All our churches
will suffer financially through loss of concert and hall bookings, weddings and other services so it is vital that levels of
giving are maintained. Many thanks

Reflection for Easter Day For me, John’s account of the first Easter Day is one of the most moving passages in scripture. In my study, I have a print of a painting by the French artist Eugene Bur-nand depicting the disciples Peter and John running to the tomb having been told
by Mary Magdalene that the stone has been rolled away. The faces of the two men are etched with worry and John has his hands clasped in prayer as he runs. But it is
also a picture of hope - a realisation perhaps that this is not the end of the story after all. Yet, when they reach the tomb and see for themselves, they still don’t fully understand. They return home and Mary is left alone, weeping. And it is then that Jesus speaks to her. He speaks to her but she doesn’t recognise him until he calls
her name. He is there but she doesn’t see him. And often it is the same for us. Jesus is there but we don’t recognise him until he speaks our name, which usually means until we have listened well enough to hear him call. Mary Magdalene responds to the call immediately. She goes to tell the disciples the things Jesus has said to her. Jesus calls us by name, there are signs of his presence all around us and, like Mary,
it is up to us to respond.. At confirmation services the bishop says to each candidate “God has called you by name and made you his own.” This Easter let us all take time to listen for God’s call and in trust and faith allow ourselves to respond with Mary,
“Rabbouni, Teacher!”
Facebook & Evening Prayer The Facebook pages for each of our

Prayer (Compline) at 9pm.
