KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES “ENTER HIS GATES WITH THANKSGIVING…” Psalm 100:4a Dear Family and Friends, To “Enter His gates with thanksgiving” implies several important facts to remember. 1) We always have reasons to be thankful to our God. 2) We are always indebted to His love, mercy, and grace. 3) We can never fully thank Him for what He does for us, but we should keep trying. This month we have special opportunities to let God and others see and hear our thankfulness…let’s do it! Last month, our Board Meeting was an extra special event, held in Guatemala next door to our board vice-chairman’s home (Wilfred and Shirley Johnson have served there as missionaries for 46 years). The meeting, along with sightseeing, shopping, eating, and visiting, was a welcome and needed retreat and refreshment for our board members and wives, see photo. This month, I will be traveling to India (6 th -21 st ) to work with our partner (NIEA) repairing and replacing equipment and other needs on the Mobile Units. Our partner there has three MU’s in different states and uses them extensively. It has been about four years since my last visit and much needs to be done. This kind of trip is very expensive ($5000+). Please pray that the Lord will provide special gifts to cover the cost. The India ministry is very fruitful and worthy of support. We pray you will have a blessed “Thanksgiving.” We thank the Lord again and again for what you mean to us and ask for His special grace in your lives. Recently we have lost some financial support due to the death of two supporters, but we have also seen an increase in giving by two supporters! God is faithful! Many of you have done so for all of the years since we stepped out in faith to become “missionaries” with Drive-In. As a mom, it means so much to me to know you pray for our children and grandchildren and understand the struggles they face daily. David & Cricket are still house hunting. They celebrate 10 years of marriage this month! Oscar’s trial date was reset for Dec. 17 to determine when he will return to Mexico, so please continue to pray for them. Sarah’s husband, Wes, has a birthday this month. We had a fun time for Joseph’s 17 th birthday/ bonfire celebration, even though the hayride was cancelled due to rain! It was fun for me to be able to go with Mike to Guatemala and visit the seminary to see all the new plans developing. We also had a great visit this week with Mike’s second cousin, Joanna, and her family, who are missionaries in Cyprus. Our lives are full and blessed. Like you, we turn daily to the Lord for His joy and strength. AMJ
