Your turbocharger introduces extra air into your engine to make it more powerful. It also makes it more efficient by lowering your fuel consumption and greener by reducing your CO2 emissions. In this issue Iveco technician Tom will explain all about turbochargers.

HOW DOes IT WOrK?The exhaust gases leaving the engine rotate around a turbine , connected to a second turbine , and are compressed by the air compressor . This compressed air is sent to the engine where it increases oxygen levels and pressure in the combustion chamber.

The more compressed air, the more fuel is added, the bigger the explosions and the faster the pistons move. This makes your engine more powerful and fuel-efficient.
