Treated with bio-fire protective impregnation «Pirilax®».

In the second half of XVII century in the village Kolomenskoye located near Moscow by the order of Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich there was built a wooden palace consisted of 26 palaces. By the middle of the XVIII century the palace was in bad disrepair. By the order of Catherine II the palace was taken down after making detailed plans. In XXI century it was decided to restore the palace using the survived drawings. According to the project for the fire safety it was planned to treat 12 thous. cub.m. of timber required for constructing the palace. The process would take at least 60 years.

The experts of All-Russian Research Institute for Fire Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations proposed to replace the autoclave impregnation by the surface bio-fire protective impregnation Pirilax. This composition even if surface applied makes the timber a flash-resistant and non-causing inflammation material. Due to applying the Pirilax composition under freezing temperatures the works are performed even in winter. So the fireproofing process was reduced to 2 years.

The interior decoration of the palace in Kolomenskoye was distinct in luxury and impressed the contemporaries. The walls and ceilings of the palace were lagged on, and then it was cover by the cloth clued by the canvas. The paints were spread on the canvas. The walls and the ceilings were painted by the grass script - the decorative painting with flowers, haulms, tangled trees.

While restoring the palace interior decoration the cloth and heavy silk were used for finishing the walls. For the fire protective impregnation it was required to use the impregnation not changing the appearance of the clothes. The impregnations Nortex met the challenges. The treated clothes do not differ by the appearance from those not treated.

The determinative factor of the value of the cultural heritage objects is their authenticity. While restoring the Palace complex Tsaritsyno the primary focus was on restoring the historical look of the objects of the Catherine ensemble.

In Grand and Semicircular Palaces the great work on restoring the parquet floor was performed. The wooden floors required mandatory antiseptic preparation for prolongation of their service life. The restorers chose the preservative«Nortex-Doctor®» providing the long-term protective effect.
