WHY COLOR MASK?Color Mask is a great technical tool for the hairdresser for fine-tuning the final coloring result and for post-pigmenting. You can also recommend a suitable shade of Color Mask for your customer as the perfect product for maintaining the shine and glow of the hair color in between salon visits.

USE

Use protective gloves with the darker shades. Apply evenly into washed, towel-dried hair, comb through and leave in for 5–10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

TIPS

• You can use stronger shades on pre-lightened hair, when more intense and long-lasting results are desired.

• Light shades can be used to even out or brighten blonde hair and to remove brassy tones.

Wash hair. Spread color evenly throughout towel-dried hair. Comb hair with wide-tooth comb. Processing time 15–30 minutes depending on desired result. After processing time, rinse hair thoroughly with warm water. If the shade is very bold or a lot of color has been used, shampoo hair once. Use conditioner if needed.

Note! Wear protective gloves and avoid spreading color onto skin. Remove jewelry and cover clothing. Use a dark-colored towel.

The base color of hair and how cold or warm it is always impacts to end result because Color Mask Paint attach directly to hair’s surface. The cleanest and brightest color result is obtained when the base is as light as possible or bleached. Light colors have less pigment than shock tones, so they work best in light bases. For delicate pastel shades hair must be fully lightened in order to provide the desired result. Also the amount of color mass is relevant to the outcome so remember to use color sufficient especially in long and thick hair.

Color Mask Paint retains its tone for 5–30 washings, depending on the color and porosity of hair as well as the shade used.

Because washing wears direct color off the hair's surface, the shade will last longer if hair is washed less often and the gentlest possible shampoo is used. Hair should also be dried right after washing so color pigment will re-adhere to hair, retaining the shade as well as possible.

Color Mask Paint fades from hair over time through wear and washing, and to some extent also due to lightening. A faded shade can be easily and stylishly tinted to a more natural color, for example using a KC Color Luxima gloss toner.
