The Fourth Sunday of Advent

Gathering for Worship (Greetings and Congregational Concerns)

11:00 am

The Worship of God Chiming of the Hour Prelude ...................................................... Ann Coleman, organ Invocation............................................................... Hal Roach Lighting of the Advent Candle............ Johnson and Mandrell Family Luke 2: 1, 3-4 Congregational Response People: Today we give thanks for the Josephs among us, migrating far from

home when there is no choice, fiercely devoted to the ones they love, unwavering in their belief that there is room for all in the kin-dom of God.

Advent Hymn .............. Joyful, Joyful We Adore You

Joyful, joyful we adore You, God of glory Lord of light. Angels lifting praise before You, sing throughout this holy night.

In a manger lies a baby, Child of Mary, Son of God. Voices joined in joyful chorus, praise You for Your gift of love.

All Your works declare Your glory, all creation joins to sing.

Praise resounds as earth rejoices in the birth of Christ the King. Shepherds kneel before the Infant, trumpets sound and anthems raise. As with joy our hearts are lifted, joined in wonder, love and praise.

Prayer of Thanksgiving and Adoration Presenting the Tithes and Offerings ............. Dana Coleman, Piano

Congregational Response .............Give Thanks.......... Congregation Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One, give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ His Son. (repeat)

And now let the weak say, I am strong; let the poor say, I am rich because of what the Lord has done for us. (repeat)

Give thanks.

Christmas Offering Start at the Manger, Then Go to the Cross ....Worship Choir Bill Scanlon, Narrator

Joy To The World! Joy to the world! the Lord is come; Let earth receive her King;

Let ev’ry heart prepare Him room, And heav’n and nature sing, And heav’n and nature sing,

And heav’n and heav’n and nature sing.

Joy to the earth! the Savior reigns; Let men their songs employ; While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains

Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

O Come, All Ye Faithful O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,

O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem! Come and behold Him, born the King of angels!

(Chorus) O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him,

O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning, Jesus, to Thee be all glory giv’n; Word of the Father,

Now in flesh appearing! (Chorus)

We also ask that, if you can, make a monetary donation to this Love Offering. It will be divided equally between Hal, Patty, Ann, and Dana. We will be accepting this offering through Sunday, December 19th. Thank you KBC for being such a great family and Merry Christmas!
