DESCRIPTION
It helps to know the basics of kayaking before you set out and always wear a life jacket. You sometimes hear stories of people who have tipped their kayaks or ran into rocks, other boats or even get caught in a current that can take them places they don’t want to go, such as into a dark cave. Paddling around the tourist areas is easy because the locals know the hazards in the immediate area, but exploring on your own requires more awareness of changing tidal and weather conditions.
