RETIREMENT: Thank you and best wishes to our Club Administrator and Life member, Jill Willis , who has decided after many months of long se rvice leave, a change is in order. We wish Jill well in retirement and thank her for her overall contribution to the Club. Jill has offered to assist with her vast knowledge of the Club and Surf Lifesaving in general and looks forward to continuing on as a volun- teer. Christmas & New Years period. Your

AUSTRALIA DAY BBQ 

All Members young & old, nippers to

masters, parents & family are invited

down to the club for our Annual

Australia Day BBQ, there will be

cricket and other activities too.

PATROL CAPTAINS

There will be a Patrol Captains

Meeting 10:00am Australia Day,

before the festivities, all are wel-

come to attend.

PATROL INSPECTIONS

Two out of six inspections com-

pleted to date. We have scored

340/350 & 336/350. Well Done to

the Patrols involved. Patrol Caps and

uniforms still a problem.

PATROL ROSTER:This will be circulated in the near

future.

COURSE

Branch has been kind enough to

assist us, by running a Sil-

ver Medallion Basic Beach Manage-

ment Course, Saturday Feb 4th

8:00am - 1:30pm. RSVP by Jan

27th. This is a great course for

current and perspective Patrol Cap-

tains. Prerequisites are; BM with

either a proficient FA, RO, ARC or

ART.

Our Ewan Maddock Dam Christ-mas Breakup was washed out and

they have been happy for us to

reschedule. We will be now look-

ing to hold the day on the Nipper

Break-up/Trophy day as we will

have use of their hall.

Points day was held last week-

end—good work to all the nippers

who participated.

Good luck to the U8-U10’s withthe Alexandra Headlands carnival

this weekend.

BRONZE MEDALLION COURSE:

Course to commence

05.02.12. Meet at the

Club at 8am.

Register your interest

via the Surf Office.

The following is a

guide of training

times:

Tuesday 6 – 8 pm—Theory

Sunday 8 – 11.00 am—Practical

Wednesday 5.45 to 6.45pm—Swim

training

(Swim training is not compulsory but

a good way to improve your swim

fitness)

All members are invited to attend the

swim training.

IRBC COURSE:

Course to commence on 04.02.2012

Must be a proficient Bronze holder

and a minimum of 15 years old.

Meet at the club with your togs, etc

8am to 12pm Saturday and Sunday

over 2 weekends . Exam scheduled

for 12.02.2012.

Register your interest at the office .

SWIM TRAINING:

Is back on Wednesday at Kawana

Aquatic Centre 5.45pm to 6.45pm
