Design and Marketing.is was my nal year University project. I
designed andproduced a prototype of an asthma inhaler with the aim
ofencouraging children to use it more frequently than they use
current inhalers. To accompany the project I also produced
adetailed business plan and marketing materials.

The screen display will thenchange to tell you if you just
used the inhaler well or not. Ifyou used it well and
breathed
in for long enough and heldyour breath it will say GOOD. If you
didnt do sowell itll either say OK or BAD, which means you
need to work on your technique. For hints andtips on how to use
it better check out the
software. There are quizzes and games there too!

Using your inTune
inhaler
Use the right and left
buttons to choosewhich mode you want
the inhaler in. Thescreen will show you
the active mode. Eachof these modes will be
explained in thisbooklet.
The inTune inhaler makes asthma managementunbelievably easy. Its
operating method is simple
and intuitive, your medication is released whenyou breathe in
through the mouth piece ensuring
that the prescribed dose is delivered straight toyour lungs. Not
only this but it can keep track of
how much youre using the inhaler and recordyour peak ow results
to create a complete
asthma diary.
This booklet is a simple guide explaining how touse your inTune
inhaler.
The available modes are INHALER, PEAK FLOW
and MUSIC.
InhalerWhen you have the device set
to INHALER mode this screenwill be shown:
Firstof all give
the inhaler a little shake.
Then simply bring theinhaler up to your mouth, and breath
inthrough the mouth piece (highlighted on
the product in yellow).
Take a nice long deep breath (dont stopbreathing in when the
inhaler pus).
Try to hold your breath for as long as youcan, aim to hold it
for 10 seconds.Now relax :)

Breathe into thehole in the back of
the device shown onthe diagram.
Its important that youforce your breath out as
hard as you can.
When you have the device set
to PEAK FLOW mode this screenwill be shown:

The screen will then
display your result like thepicture to the left. The
software
included with the inhaler tellsyou what these values mean.
MusicWhen you have the
device setto PEAK FLOWmode the above screen will
be shown
This mode lets you just have fun with your inTuneinhaler. Press
dierent combinations of the
buttons while breathing in and out to make music.
