When we tied the knot in the mid 90’s we scoured the land for a unique venue that would reflect our stylish yet informal sensibilities. I remember running battles about pink napkins, coronation chicken and pastel carnations. It was so exhausting and depressing, we ended up doing it all ourselves (right down to Christian making my bouquet!)So when we decided to launch Jollydays as a wedding venue we incorpo-rated all we’ve learned, not just from our own wedding but also from many thousands of guests we have entertained over the years. When it comes to unique wedding venues Jollydays leads the field. We are superbly located in the middle of the UK.
Only 8 miles from historic York (approximatley one and a half to two hours by train from London), on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds - or Hockney country as it has become known. The Moors National Park, the Heritage Coastline and
the Howardian Hills are all within easy reach. If your guests wish to take advantage of our quirky on site accommodation we
have three different tents available.

We have a range of different self catering tents available for guests who wish to enjoy the woodland for a weekend.

Guests arrive at 4PM the night before and could enjoy a hog roast or a buffet around the camp fire whilst excitment builds about the big day.
The wedding will take place in our peaceful ceremony space and you will have a choice of 2 sites available for a Marquee, Kata or Yurt of your choice - this option can accom-
modate up to 300 guests.Guests can enjoy a leisurely breakfast on Sunday morning before the journey home...

A range of different activities can be organised for guests, e.g bushcraft and archery on site or beginners polo or a four wheel drive experience off site. However you
choose to organise your weekend it will prove to be a magical and unforgettable oc-cassion.

The woodland is a beautiful place to get married - so much more natural than a stuffy hotel room.
We have created a lovely private ceremony space within the woodland where you can say your vows in style.
One Life Weddings will work with you to create a wedding ceremony that is personal to you and reflects you as a couple. Because your ceremony will be written individually for you that means you can have it as traditional or unconventional as you want and include the words, readings and vows that are important to you.
