Nowyourcandleneedstosetanddryforatleast12hours.

So,hereisyourcandlewiththesandgluedontoitsbase,allsetanddried.Itisnowreadytobesealed.Giveitagentlelittletapforluckandloose

sand.



HerewehavethePolycrylic,nylonbrush,andpreparedcandle.

Gently,"dabpaint"thesealerontothedriedsand.Oncecoated,youcantakeyourbrushandgoaroundthecandle,gentlywipingofftheexcess.Placeyoursealed,stillwetcandle

downonwaxpaper.Iliketoletitsetaboutanhour,pickthecandleup,gentlywipeexcessoffthebottomofthecandle(beingcarefulnottopulloffanyofthebottomrimofsand)andplaceitbackdownonaclean

pieceofwaxpapertocompletelydry,forseveralhoursorovernight.



Onthisdriedandsealedcandle,Ihavechosenthe3plyjuteformyrimofsanddecoration.Here,Iammeasuringadoubledstrand,before

cutting.

Whilemygluegunheatsup,withtheloopononeside,andtheendsofthedoubledstrandontheother,Itwirlit

intoarope!



Startingwiththecutends,carefullyglueyourjuteropingdownand

aroundtherimofsand,endingwith,andslightlyoverlapping,theloop

ontothestartingpoint.

Pickyourshellandcoattheundersidewiththehotglue,(pleasedon'tburnyourfingers)makingsurethepartsoftheshellthattouchtheropeandcandlehaveenoughglueto



securetheshelltoyourlovelysandcandle.WONDERFUL!

Ifyou'vechosenthewaxedraffia.Takeameasuredpieceofathicker

strandofraffia,andcarefully/evenly,glueitaroundthe

rimofsand.

Gatherafewmorestrandsofthewaxedraffia,(longenoughtotieanattractivebowwithsufficientends)tiethebowandattachyourshell



withhotglue!(Wow!Youjustmadeanotherone!)
