Karen Refugee Committee Newsletter and Activity Report
January - 2018
Dear All Readers,
January is the first month of the year. Since it is the first month, most people are exciting for able
to enter into another year. Our life is not in our hand. Even for a few remaining hours and minutes,
when the time comes, our heart beat could be stopped before we cross into a new year. The evil is
always around whenever we try to do well. When we expect to live in peace, there are difficulties
and pressure from every corner. We wish that, this year 2018 will bring us peace and happiness.
Our wish has come true indeed. We are not starved and yet being clothed and sheltered and hear
good news about each other's. However, there will be some people who face challenges,
separation and sadness. This is one of the natures of the world that we will have to come through
it.
We have been hearing that, refugees will be able to go home sooner or later. However, due to
uncertainty, till now, the refugees are not able to return. It has been for years that the refugees are
going through in this journey together with the refugee committee. Don't think that we will be
disappointed for this difficult journey. We will be renewed once again and with perseverance, we
will wait till we can go home. Good and bad, joy and sadness may go hand in hand, we hope that,
this year 2018 will bring us grace and more blessings in the days to come. We pray for all the
donors and organization supporting us and continue to be with us.
Best wishes,
General Secretary
Karen Refugee Committee
