Joe Bruno on the Mob - The Families of Sammy Gravonos Victims Want Karen Gravano

Arrested For Shooting a Gun At Legal Gun Range.

Think what you want about the ridiculously bad TV showMob Wives, but this seems to

    be much ado about nothing.

During the March 18 showing ofMob Wives, Karen Gravano, along with three of the

other wives, including Renee Graziano, took a trip to the Poconos for a change of scenery. The

first night there they wind up in a redneck bar, and were abused by a drunk, who if this happened

in NY City, would have wound up in the hospital, if not in the morgue. The next day they

decided to blow off a little steam by going to an outdoor gun firing range. There, under the

supervision of a gun expert, the girls fired all sorts of guns at paper targets, and empty soda and

    beer cans.

They giggled, cursed and screamed, like they do on every show, but certainly no laws

    were broken.

The out of nowhere, the families of the victims of Karen Granvanos father, Sammy the

Bull, want Karen arrested because she legally fired a gun. The silly rational was echoed by Linda

Milito, wife of Gravano victim, mobster Louie Milito. She said, Sammy was a psychotic killer.

And I do believe genes are inherited. What about the people [Sammy] killed, and their extended

family? How can [Karen] be allowed to shoot a gun? The apple does not fall far from the tree,

    and crime does not pay.

In 2000, Karen Gravano was arrested in the same Arizona drug deal that imprisoned herfather for 19 years. She was given no jail time, and went off parole in 2003. Karen told the New

York Post, My probation terms have been over since 2003. At that time, I filed a motion to havemy constitutional rights restored and to my knowledge, they have been restored. Theyre doingeverything they can to discredit me because of their personal issues with my father.

Okay guysthe showMob Wivessucks; its maybe the worst show in the history oftelevision (Jersey Shore?). The people on the show are imminently unlikable, and Karen

Gravano is one of the least likable.

But come on now. She has the right to go to a Pennsylvania gun range and legally fire a

gun. And if she lived in Florida, she could obtain a concealed carry permit, even though she has

a criminal record.(As long as someone doesnt lie on theoir application for a carry permit about

their criminal record, it possible to get a concealed carry permit even if you have a criminalrecord. As long as yourpast crime didnt include a gun.)

To show how ridiculous these charges are, a spokesman for the Bureau of Alcohol,

Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Philadelphia Field Division said it has not yet opened a

criminal probe of the incident. We are aware of the show and the episode. We do not have a

    criminal investigation.

    Nor should they.

You want to punish Karen Gravano for hersand her fathers crimes, dont watch MobWivesand dont buy Karen Gravanos book Mob Daughter.

But dont try to have her arrested for something she has every right to do; fire a gun at alegal gun range.

Family members of mob underboss Sammy Bull Gravanos victims are pushing for an

investigation into whether his daughter, Karen, broke the law by firing a gun on her realityshow, Mob Wives.

The move is the latest bad blood between the families and Gravano after they tried to block her

from receiving earnings from her book, Mob Daughter, last month.

On a recent episode of the VH1 show, Karen and her cohortsincluding Renee Graziano,

Ramona Rizzo and Carla Facciolohead to the Poconos for a ladies weekend. In the

country, the gals partake in outdoor activities, including blasting at a shooting range. The group

is shown firing and yelling, Shoot that bitch! and Karen reminisces about the first time shesaw a gun hidden under her dads mattress.

The scene raised the hackles of some relatives of Sammys victims who say Karen violated the

law since she pleaded guilty a decade ago to charges stemming from a multimillion-dollarecstasy ring in Arizona.

Sammy was a psychotic killer. And I do believe genes are inherited, said Lynda Milito, who

blames Sammy for the death of her husband, Gambino capo Louie Milito, in her book, Mafia

    Wife.

What about the people [Sammy] killed, and their extended family? How can [Karen] be allowed

to shoot a gun? The apple does not fall far from the tree, and crime does not pay.

A spokesman for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Philadelphia Field

Division said it has not yet opened a criminal probe of the incident. We are aware of the showand the episode. We do not have a criminal investigation.

But Karen told us through a rep: My probation terms have been over since 2003. At that time, Ifiled a motion to have my constitutional rights restored and to my knowledge, they have been

restored. Theyre doing everything they can to discredit me because of their personal issues with

    my father.
