Background Kandal Group is a leading private company in Iraq which is duly registered under the norms and
regulation of the local authorities .Kandal was first established as Mr .Ahmad Younis Amin Al Amedi
Bureau for General Contracting in 1971 and continued working under this name until 1985 as the name
altered to Al Zabain Company for Construction Contracts then to Ahmad Al Amedi Company .Finally
the Company was reregistered in 1998 under the name of Kandal Group bearing in mind that the
management board and senior key staff in the Company remained same during the different stages and
under different names
