this project for a genome research center in atlanta embraced two central contingencies of contemporary science facilities: fl exibility and serendipity. under the conceptual framework of mutation, vertical circulation, mep, and structural systems combined to form vertical box trusses as the primary element of the parti while zoning concerns were solved directly by doubling setbacks to create a pocket park and retail.
the concept of the broadcast corridor is fundamental to this school of music on the georgia tech campus. this building experiments with the traditional idea of a campus building with the heart of the hemphill corridor containing an exterior lobby, uniting the east performance program with the west education program, and broadcasting music across campus from overhanging balconies in practice and performance rooms alike.

the design for the atlanta high school for the performing, plastic, and hybrid arts posits the clustering of pro-gram into three sitecast concrete boxes of education, exploration, and public components linked by a spine of circulation and two glassed-in atria as exhibition and gathering space. reinterpreting atlanta’s patchwork grids, the pixelated plans, sections, and elevations expose the disembodied nature of digital design.

this project for argentine short story author and poet jorge luis borges is a duplex townhouse with retail in athens, georgia. guided by the phenomenological examination of the labyrinth in plan and section, it con-tains two apartments and a bookstore in four fl oors and a basement using bookshelves as all the partition walls and supported by a precast, loadbearing concrete structural system.

Narrative
Deployment in Piedmont Park, Atlanta, GA
this proposal with toni cliett selects a certain existing and self-classifi ed type of nomad, one that functions in society in a predominantly digital manner. thus, these nomads isolate themselves from one another and from the basic structures of a physical community. this scheme incites physical, as well as digital, togetherness through constructing and cohabitating a series of clustered dwellings customized for these individuals.
