GLOBAL SOURCING LOCAL DELIVERY

BHP Billiton first partnered with K2 Partnering in Singapore to secure freelance SAP Architects to assist in the detailed design of their global one instance project (1SAP). The global scale of the program and the complexity of the different processes involved created a need to work with the worlds best available consultants. K2 Partnering was the only vendor that allowed global talent acquisition for SAP architects through a single source. Within 24 hours of taking the detailed requirements K2 had associates in the US, Latin America, Asia and Europe sourcing within their respective markets. Another 24 hours later a shortlist was presented and the selected candidate was able to start 10 days after.

As the program progressed, specialized skill sets within SAP were needed for the US (SAP IS-Oil PRA), with current consulting partners struggling to provide suitable talent from within their ranks, or even through their networks and vendors, K2 was called upon to take away these pain points. Within three days K2 Partnering was able to source a selection of suitable candidates that could start on the US site within seven days. The exceptional ability of K2 Partnering to deliver niche skill sets in SAP ensured the project was able to meet deadline and move onto the development stage within agreed time lines.

At the delivery stage of the project localized SAP HR knowledge was needed in Santiago, Chile. K2 was asked to provide a solution as local vendors and the global consulting partner were unable to provide the talent on short notice. By using our global sourcing capability, a suitable Chilean candidate was found working in Spain and available to join immediately, the project time lines were met allowing the country to go live on schedule.
