K. Wah Group Achieves Encouraging Results at
Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships 2017

(Hong Kong, 30 May 2017) – K. Wah Group (the “Group”) captured a Merit Award in the Men's B Bronze Cup Final at the “Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships 2017”, a major dragon boat festival competition held at Stanley Main Beach today. This marked the third year in a row that the Group has participated in the race.
This year, the Group formed two dragon boat teams comprising staff from K. Wah International Holdings Limited (“KWIH”, HKEx: 0173) and Stanford Hotels International Holdings Limited (“SHI”) with eight K. Wah ladies joining the tournament for the first time. Apart from a team competing for men’s race, a “Mixed-gender Team” was formed to compete with others. Led on by the cheering of Paddy Lui, Executive Director of KWIH and Managing Director of SHI, accompanied by other colleagues and associates, K. Wah teams delivered outstanding performances and demonstrated strong team spirit at the race.
The determinant of success in dragon boat racing is not merely about speed but rhythm and teamwork. The K. Wah Dragon Boat Teams enjoyed the race and the training process in which communications and friendship were fostered.
