COVID-19 Updates- Two learning modalities***

- Face to face and E-Learning 2.0 - Parents may change option with proper notices***- Daily cleaning during school hours when students are at recess/Physical Education

and extensive cleaning after school hours when students are off campus.- Through out the school day, classrooms do not intermingle with various classrooms. - Students eat lunch and snack in their classrooms. - One-way hallways with arrows for social distancing. - All staff and students are required to wear masks while on campus. - Students receive frequent mask breaks and do not have to wear a mask while

eating and drinking. - All students and staff have their temperature checked each morning

General Class and Curriculum Information

• 2021-2022 school year we will have 3 Kindergarten classes and 3 1 st Grade classes. One of the 1 st grade classrooms is a gifted/advanced class.

• General class size is 18-20 students per class. We have two floating Teaching Aids that serve all 6 classrooms.

• Before the year begins ,teachers plan the educational curriculum to meet the needs of our general academic student population

• DAS does have a rigorous curriculum to help excel all students however, we also progress monitor students academics daily in order to identify needs of academic improvements.

Progress Monitoring Tools Include: • MTSS- Multi -Tiered System designed to identify struggling students and

provide more academic support• DIBELS• EasyCBM• NWEA - Standardized computer test that assesses literacy and mathematics

skills three times per year. Based on students’ spring scores will determine gifted/advanced placement for future grades.

• Accelerated Reader• A-Z Guided Reading• ESGI• iStation
