Tad can tug on the rug and rip it to shreds. When Tad rips the rug, mom yells, “Scram!”
Tad loves milk, catnip and a felt rat. Tad can run fast and jump! When Tad got mom’s best cutlet at lunch, mom was sad. Still, Tad is the best gift, and Brad loves him a bunch.

Sam liked to golf. He liked to go to the course by his house. Sam would go every day. He would go even if he had to go without an adult. As a result, Sam was good at golf. He kept going so he could cut his score in half. Sam told himself to work hard. Then he could make it to the big game.
One day Sam made it to the big game. On the day of the big game, Sam took his clubs off the shelf. He did up the belt on his golf bag and went to the course. It was a hot day. Sam felt like he would melt. But he played well, and took 2nd place. He felt glad he had done well.

We tramped over the dump, stomped past limp, lumpy stuff and a busted pump, and a lot of rusted cans. “See this mast?” I said. “It would make a grand ramp.” “That mast is bent,” said Brent. “I bet it would not last.” “See this bus bumper?” I asked. “Yes, but it is just a hunk of junk,” said Brent. I said, “We must get a ramp fast. The sun is setting and it will be dusk.” Just then there was a gust of wind. The blast dumped a stump onto Brent. “Help!” yelped Brent. The stump has trapped my leg.” I lifted the stump and held it up so Brent could get out. I felt Brent’s leg. “You have to rest,” I said. “Your leg has a big welt and a lump.” “No,” said Brent. “We have to get home. I can limp on my left leg.” “Can you step faster?” I asked. “I want to, but I am as swift as I can be with a bad leg. I cannot trust my leg,” he said. It was getting dark. I had to lift Brent. We could not go fast. It was as if the damp dump would not end. At last, we were home.

They ran because they took a man’s cash. The bandits dashed into a cactus bed. As they ran into the bed of cactus, they got cactus pins in their arms, feet and legs. The bandits hopped and yelled! Then Ted caught them and gave the man back his cash.

He sees signs with the phrase, “Pick up litter!” As he walks he sees Hippos playing in the mud. They look happy by the cool stream. Then he sees three foxes dart under bushes. They are so quick. In the fish house, Phil sees sea stars, puffer fish, sea horses, and sharks. Phil likes to see the sharks getting fed. Before the zoo closes, Phil and his mom and dad see a dolphin show. The dolphins know how to do fun tricks. Splash! Everybody laughs. What a great trip to the zoo!

Ned was armed with a shield, a sharp sword and good armor. As he began to cross the field, a dragon flew down and landed in front of him.
“Good grief!” shrieked Ned as he pulled out his sword and shield. A brief, yet fierce, battle took place on the field. Ned’s sword pierced the dragon’s scales and he flew away quickly. When Ned got to the tower, he found a key and opened the door. Inside was the king’s niece, Jenny. Ned retrieved the trapped girl, and took her safely home to the palace.

Have you ever played a game called “running bases”? It is a lot of fun! You need two people to catch the ball and a group of people to run between the bases. You also need two bases and one ball. You can use almost anything as your bases. An old shirt or a paper plate has always worked fine for my group of friends.
When we played, we started the game with our catchers throwing the ball to each other three times. Then the runners started running back and forth between the two bases and the catchers tried to tag them. The runners had to be quick and smart, so they did not get tagged.
