How  to  Play  Running  Bases

Have  you  ever  played  a  game  called  “running  bases”?  It  is  a  lot  of  fun!  You  need  two  people  to  catch  the  ball  and  a  group  of  people  to  run  between  the  bases.  You  also  need  two  bases  and  one  ball.  You  can  use  almost  anything  as  your  bases.  An  old  shirt  or  a  paper  plate  has  always    worked  fine  for  my  group  of  friends.

When  we  played,  we  started  the  game  with  our  catchers  throwing  the  ball  to  each  other  three  times.  Then  the  runners  started  running  back  and  forth  between  the  two  bases  and  the  catchers  tried  to  tag  them.  The  runners  had  to  be  quick  and  smart,  so  they  did  not  get  tagged.  After  three  tags,  a  runner  changed  places  with  a  catcher.  Then  the  game  started  over  again.    You  should  try  playing  this  game!
