Editorial

We are now into the month of Karkataka. Sun is in the house of moon and in conjunction

with Jupiter. Though both Sun and Jupiter denote knowledge, still their conjunction isn’t

seen to be something very good. The big factor this month is that of the conjunction of Mars

and Saturn in the sign of Venus, Libra. Anytime Mars and Saturn join, there is prone to be

big problems with respect to countries (wars, quakes etc. are common). Since Mars is in the

house of Venus, its enemy, therefore we can find a lot of bad happening until mars moves

out to Scorpio. More analysis on this can be found in the Gochara article in this magazine.

When times are tough, fools or weak people will back out whereas wise people will stick on

and try to find ways to overcome the problems. Astrology or prediction of future isn’t to be

taken as that which will happen for sure – it has to be taken as something that has high

probability of happening; but it can be changed with our effort now. Destiny can be changed

through free-will. AMMA gives an example to illustrate this – when we have a glass of water

that has lot of salt in it, we cannot do anything to reduce the salt but we can definitely

liquidate it (by adding more water) and we will find that the salty water becomes less salty.

Similarly through our efforts now we will be able to definitely change the future. Whether

we are able to change the future or not is up to us (and nobody than ourselves are in

control of the same). A wise person will use the science of astrology to know what is in

store for him and thereby put more effort to alter (or nullify) the past.

The science of astrology is a divine science and therefore deserves full effort or respect from

us. As long as a person studies astrology as part-time he will not find it being beneficial for

himself or others. Therefore it is important for a person aspiring to be a true astrologer to

take the science seriously and learn it seriously (with dedication).

The more and more we learn the science of astrology we will find the beauty in it as well as

we will be able to help the entire world progress from sorrow to happiness. Though the

ultimate choice of whether to be sad or happy is in an individual still we will be at least able

to provide guidance to others. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that great dangers can be easily

averted if the science of astrology is properly practiced. Eventually we will find this science

leading us to the ultimate goal of life of moksha.

The purpose of this magazine is to explain the nuances of astrology so that anybody and

everybody will be able to benefit from it (and thereby they would be able to take their lives

towards the ultimate goal of life of moksha).

May we all strive to learn and implement this science of astrology so that through knowing

and anticipating our future we will be able to progress quickly towards the goal of moksha –

and through attaining moksha we will be able to ever rejoice in bliss here and now itself.

Jyothishavidanustaana Vivaranam

Recap

Previously we saw the third practice of vaak or words. We saw that words have to be pure,

good and limited. Such words when used will lead to purity of words as well as to one

getting power of words.

Astrology is a science in which words are very important because it is through words that

the astrologer makes predictions. If there is God present in one’s words then such a person

will have the power of intuition or his words will be fruitful (most of the times). Astrology

isn’t a science where one can just use one’s mind or intellect or memory – though these are

to be used, still what is more important is intuition (as that is where the power of Lord lies

and astrology is a science that requires intuition to predict the future).

To recap, we are learning the various practices that are to be practiced by a person who

aspires to be a true astrologer. True astrologer is one whose words always become true and

who is a realized master able to spread the bliss of the Self to others through his words (of

prediction).

ctuwaeR äüêp $zicNtn< zuÉ< va,16, caturtho brahmarüpa éçacintanaà çubhaà vä|16|

16. Fourth is remembrance of Ishwara as Brahman or of anything that is good (to

oneself or others).

Words are very important for a person aspiring to be an astrologer but words are a

reflection of one’s mind. This means that mind is much more important than words. A pure

mind reflects the Lord’s presence in it and therefore will be able to predict better.

How a pure mind can predict better?

A pure mind is fully concentrated and therefore it will be able to make predictions properly

(through its own capability). And a pure mind is like a mirror in which one’s face gets

reflected. A pure mirror reflects one’s face properly whereas an impure mirror will not

Page 6: Jyothisha Prakaasham Karkataka Jaya - Vedanta Tattvavedantatattva.org/.../Jaya/Karkataka/JyothishaPrakaasham_Karkatak… · More analysis on this can be found in the Gochara article

reflect one’s face properly. Similarly a pure mind reflects the Lord of the nature of

Consciousness in it whereas an impure mind doesn’t reflect it properly.

How can the mind be made pure?

The mind is generally full of thoughts and this is what is called impurity. At any point of

time when it wants to focus on something, it cannot as so many thoughts are there (leading

to distractions). But thoughts can be reduced only when one develops good desires. As long

as bad desires are there (selfish desires) it will lead to more and more desires which will

lead to more and more thoughts. Good desires are those which are not just for the sake of

oneself but for others who really deserve to be helped out. Such desires eventually lead to a

pure mind (a mind which doesn’t get distracted into too many thoughts).

But what is the use of a pure mind when it cannot concentrate on anything at all? Therefore

the pure mind has to become a concentrated one (or that which concentrates on any

particular object at will).

The best way to concentrate the mind is meditation or dhyaana. It should be kept in mind

that only a pure mind can concentrate – else even though one might try to concentrate, it

would be futile (as so many thoughts will creep into the mind). A sadhaka should strive to

gain concentration through the practice of dhyaana.

Before getting into concentration the author first talks about what to think in order to purify

and concentrate the mind (before getting into the practice of dhyaana).

The author gives two alternatives for object to concentrate on (for a sadhaka). First is to

concentrate on Ishwara who is of the nature of Brahman. Second is to concentrate on pure

objects (or pure beings).

Cintanam is the word used by the author which means remembrance (this is the pre-

requisite to properly doing dhyaana). Without remembrance of something for a considerable

period of time, dhyaana will not be fruitful. And without dhyaana, remembrance cannot be

taken to its culmination of natural abidance or absorption).

Thought about Ishwara who is of the nature of the non-dual reality of Brahman is good

because that is thought about reality. The entire world that we currently perceive is just an

Page 7: Jyothisha Prakaasham Karkataka Jaya - Vedanta Tattvavedantatattva.org/.../Jaya/Karkataka/JyothishaPrakaasham_Karkatak… · More analysis on this can be found in the Gochara article

illusion in the non-dual reality of Brahman. Thinking about an illusion leads to sorrow alone

and thinking about the reality leads to eternal bliss for a person. Therefore thinking about

the Lord always leads to eternal bliss (it also takes our mind away from passions towards

the world).

Good thoughts are always essential in order to maintain the calmness or coolness of the

mind. The mind constantly tries to get into various emotions and these emotions are

tensions that leads to sorrow. The mind is tensed when it thinks something that is not good

(for itself or for others). Therefore it is important to think about good in the mind (through

which the mind will eventually calm down).

How does one benefit from concentration on the Lord or on pure thoughts? – this is what

the author explains in the next sutra.

ttiíÄzuiÏreka¢ta,17, tataçcittaçuddhirekägratä|17|

17. From it ensues purity and concentration of mind.

Thought of Ishwara or good things in the mind will lead to purity and concentration of the

mind. Purity is when the mind is devoid of various tensions or desires. The more desires,

the mind gets into bad thoughts which will lead to bad actions or sins accrued through bad

actions. But when the mind thinks about Ishwara (the reality) or good thoughts, it becomes

pure. It will not get into unwanted thoughts or desires (which will eventually lead to

sorrow). Moreover thoughts of Ishwara or pure entities will slowly reduce all other thoughts

and bring concentration to the mind.

Concentration is nothing but wherein the mind focuses only on one object at a time. This

isn’t mere thinking but thinking with strength so that the mind doesn’t get distracted or

diverted into anything else. Such a concentrated mind can at will concentrate on anything

and everything. Only such a mind will be able to achieve anything in life (a mind which is

ever getting distracted will only lead to sorrow in the long run).

8

But concentration becomes complete or perfect only through dhyaana or meditation which is

the next practice that the author explains. We will see this in the next magazine.

May we all strive to become true astrologers through the practice of thoughts of Ishwara or

good things so that we will attain purity and concentration – and through becoming a true

astrologer may we be able to ever rejoice in bliss and spread bliss to the entire world.

Bhavartha Ratnakara - V

We shall look into the significations of the 6th house as per bhavartha ratnakara, the text

written by B.V.Raman, the world famous astrologer. The author gives details of each house

and what it stands for. We shall see and understand through some examples.

In the earlier edition of the magazine we had seen both the 4th and 5th house signification in

the 4th chapter of the text. So let’s proceed now to the 5th chapter of the text. This chapter

deals with enemies and diseases.

Enemies and diseases

1. The native will be sick if the 8th lord is in the lagna. If the 6th lord is in lagna, he’ll

be troubled by diseases and rivals.

2. If Sun is combined with the lagna lord and Moon with the 6th lord, the native will

fear fever and water respectively.

3. If Mars is associated with the lagna and 6th lords, the native will be prone to

wounds and injuries. If Mercury is associated with the said lords, the native will

suffer diseases of the gastro-intestinal tract.

4. The association of Jupiter with the lagna and 6th lords doesn’t make one disease prone

but if Saturn is associated with them, he’ll fear thieves.

5. Rahu or Ketu conjoining the lagna and 6th lords gives the native fear of felines

and reptiles.

6. If Venus is combined with the lagna and 6th lords, the native’s spouse will be in

danger. If the lord of the 3rd and Mars conjoin, death in a war is indicated.

7. If the 8th lord is in the 12th in combination with debilitated or inimical planets

and the lagna lord is strong, the person’s diseases will be destroyed.

Page 10: Jyothisha Prakaasham Karkataka Jaya - Vedanta Tattvavedantatattva.org/.../Jaya/Karkataka/JyothishaPrakaasham_Karkatak… · More analysis on this can be found in the Gochara article

prathikoolanivaarakam mokshopakaarakam cha

10

8. For Taurus and Scorpio natives, if the lagna lord is weak and combined with

benefics, the native’s enemies will turn pals.

Chart 1

Analysis: Native of the chart has ascendant as Thula. So the 8th lord is venus and 6th lord

is Jupiter. Jupiter is a malefic for this lagna as it’s the lord of 3rd and 6th house. So the 6th

and 8th lords both are together and in the lagna. The lagna lord is venus. So the 6th and

8th lords are with lagna lord also we can say.

Due to this the native always has body troubles. Suffer's from some physical ailment all the

time. Constant discomfort of the body is felt.

Native also faces rivalry from colleagues at work place. Many people oppose the native.

Through ones own actions enemity also is developed with people.

Thus we see that the 8th and 6th lords combination in lagna is not very favourable for

health as well as for enemies.

Page 11: Jyothisha Prakaasham Karkataka Jaya - Vedanta Tattvavedantatattva.org/.../Jaya/Karkataka/JyothishaPrakaasham_Karkatak… · More analysis on this can be found in the Gochara article

11

But we see that Jupiter is associated with lagna lord venus. Hence the bodily problems are

not much and reduced to a major extent. Saturn aspects this combination, so the native has

fear of thieves.

Here venus is associated with the 6th lord Jupiter. This shows that the spouse of the native

will be in danger.

Chart 2

Analysis: Native of the chart always suffers from fevers and fears of having fever most of

the time. Native also has intestinal problems.

The lagna lord is venus and is with sun exalted. Hence the native has fear of fever and is

often suffering from it.

Moon is in the 8th house unassociated. So though moon is not with 6th lord, as its

positioned in the 8th house, the native has fear of water.

Lagna lord venus is also with mars. Mars is also with the 6th lord venus. So the native does

suffer from many injuries and wounds. Native gets hurt all over the body, without any

major reason. Always has some injuries internal as well as external.

Page 12: Jyothisha Prakaasham Karkataka Jaya - Vedanta Tattvavedantatattva.org/.../Jaya/Karkataka/JyothishaPrakaasham_Karkatak… · More analysis on this can be found in the Gochara article

Vetti yah vedaangam sa aapnothi paramam padam

prathikoolanivaarakam mokshopakaarakam cha

12

As we can see mercury is also with mars, sun and venus. So the native has intestinal

problems. Suffer's from indigestion and acidity problems and weird problems of stomach.

Chart 3

Analysis: The native has 8th lord venus exalted in lagna with 4th and 7th lord mercury

which is debilitated. The native always suffers from body troubles. Native does not have

strong constitution of the body.

Here the 6th lord sun is aspecting moon. Moon is also located in the 8th house which is not

good. The native fears water. Never travels in boats over water.

Ketu in the 5th gives fear of reptiles as well. Also the 5th lord is aspected by 6th lord sun.

This might as well lead to the fear of reptiles.

Thus we have seen the effects of the enemies and diseases in the 5th chapter of bhavartha

ratnakara of B.V.Raman. We shall continue on the next chapter in coming editions of the

magazine,

Gochara – effect of Mars and Saturn in Libra

Accidents happening in the midair have left many of us wonder why such incidents are

happening more often in recent times. Flight crash of private airways in poland some days

back, Cargo plane transporting stimulant crashed near Kenya, military Ukraine air force

crashed, air india plane crash in banglore etc are few of the many crashes in the aviation

history in recent times.

Loss of life’s, money and Trauma to the family members, makes us wonder what is the

force behind all such mishaps.

Since past one month we are often coming across flash of news about a flight crashing,

carrying around 300 people onboard. Such mishaps are disheartening and keeps us

wondering as an astrology enthusiast as to what could be the planetary combinations which

could make this possible.

The events happening in life have a direct bearing on the planetary positions in the birth

chart of the person as well as the current planetary position and its influences. For general

events happening around the world, the gochara is considered.

Couple of months back we had a similar article in the march edition of magazine, when

planets saturn and mars were together in thula. Lot of disasters, natural calamities

happened. Now again we see same combination.

Mars was in Libra between feb 2014 till march 25th. Mars was in retrograde. It moved to

Virgo after march 25th. Mars moved to Thula on july 14th and shall be in Libra until sept 5th.

In the month of February we had seen similar accidents, flight crashes and calamities

happening in the world. Similar effects are being observed now.

Mars is in Libra along with Saturn. Jupiter is exalted with sun. Rahu was with Saturn and

mars earlier in the month of February, but currently rahu is in virgo. Two malefics Saturn

and mars are creating havoc around the world. Lets analyse the situation through gochara.

Page 14: Jyothisha Prakaasham Karkataka Jaya - Vedanta Tattvavedantatattva.org/.../Jaya/Karkataka/JyothishaPrakaasham_Karkatak… · More analysis on this can be found in the Gochara article

Mars stands for weapons, wars, battles, military, Physical strength, fights, aggression and

fiery tattva etc. Saturn stands for people, masses, and airy tattva. Thula is chara rasi or

movable sign. It is also an airy sign. Thus influence of both will involve accidents which

result in fire and which are air borne mostly.

This also will effect greatly the individuals who have rasi or lagna as thula. This can cause

health issues for Vrishabha lagna people as Saturn and mars are in the 6th house of

diseases. Issues with respect to stomach, digestion and knee problems can be seen.

Thula rasi natives also may face health issues related to back bone, stomach problems,

knee problems and heart related problem.

Thula lagna natives may suffer some bad name. There can be allegations against them.

Their personal relationships with people may also be spoiled. They will also face issues at

work place.

For Aries natives divorce and break in relationships can happen.

After sept 5th this year, once mars moves out of thula, the evil effects will reduce. Mars shall

be in scorpio until middle of Oct. Saturn moves into Scorpio in Nov 2014. So there is again

no chance of Saturn and mars together in scorpio this year.

The aspects of mars over Saturn in scorpio, may not prove very dangerous compared to

Saturn and mars effects in Thula. This is because of mars being the owner of house of

scorpio. In Thula Saturn is more powerful and causes lot of destruction.

Chart

Analysis:

In Gochara Saturn is at the end of thula. Mars has just entered thula. Mars shall move out

of thula by mid of October. During that time both mars and Saturn are almost at the end of

the house. This can be a critical period and we may see many problems, clashes, violence

and reduction of population in the world.

At this location both Saturn and mars will be in gandanta, i,e end of a house. Death of

children on huge scale by hanging, by fire, by shooting etc. death of mothers as well in

same means can be seen during this period.

Domestic lives of many people will be disrupted as well. Many families may fall apart and

many divorces can be heard around this period or killings based on violence.

Use of mass weaponry in name of militancy shall also be seen during this time.

Page 16: Jyothisha Prakaasham Karkataka Jaya - Vedanta Tattvavedantatattva.org/.../Jaya/Karkataka/JyothishaPrakaasham_Karkatak… · More analysis on this can be found in the Gochara article

16

From thula, mars is the 7th and 2nd lord, hence family and relationships will suffer in society.

Saturn stands for 4th and 5th lord, which means children and mothers will also face many

trying situations in life.

Native of libra should be very careful with their health when Saturn and mars are almost

exiting the house. Health may be delicate around this time.

The lagna or rasi of aries, Vrishabha and thula will be critically effected.

Here we can see that Saturn is also aspecting the sun in cancer. So Saturn is with mars and

aspects sun. Thus the evil effects are more in proportion until one more month, when mars

and sun move of their respective places.

Sun and Saturn conflicts also shows that heart related troubles will also increase in public

and fathers generally will face problems in life.

Career of thula natives will also be effected due to these conflicts.

To evade all evil influences due to the planetary positions, one simple propitiation anyone

can do at anytime, irrespective of time and place is to chant the lord’s name. As simple as it

might appear, it’s very effective indeed. God’s grace can alone protect us and reduce the

evil influences.

During such periods, people are advised to chant their mantras. More of meditation

,chanting and doing good activities will reduce the effects of the dangerous situations we

are in. It will do good to all, if we all pray for world peace and prosperity, instead of

worrying what may be the reason behind the war like situation in the world and many

disasters happening around. Only way to make situations better in these bad times is

through our prayers for world peace and well being of all. May AMMA’s grace be with all of

us.

Nakshatras - VII

We have seen till the 18th star i.e Ketta or Jyesta, until last edition of magazine. We shall

now continue from the 19th star of Moola.

Moola/Moolam

With Jyestha we have completed 18 stars means we have seen 2 anujanma stars for each

planet. Now the 3rd set of anujanma stars start with Moola. Ketu is the ruler of this star.

Ashwini, Magha and Moola are anujanma stars. All people belonging to these stars are like

brothers and sisters. Ashwini is in house of mars i.e Aries, Magha is in house of sun i.e Leo

and Moola is in the house of Jupiter I.e Saggitarius. So stars 1,10,19 are ruled by Ketu.

Ashwini people are aggressive, childish and bit immature as in the house of mars. Magha

people are dominating and power oriented. Moola people are a bit dull but good natured and

are behind riches and wealth. Generally it’s said that moola people will be rich as Jupiter

stands for wealth.

General characteristics

They are worldly people who have wealth and riches. Their nature is to roam around.

Generally it is said that they are not in good terms with mother-in-law or father-in-law. It’s

said that moola men will rule the world and moola women will rule their fate.

Those born in this star are wide awake and cannot be cheated and others should be equally

vigilant. They will ever be planning. They are dignified and friendly with relatives. They can

be lazy and proud as well.

This consists of bunch of five stars like a crouching lion. Its color is black, neuter gender,

rakshasa gana, Yoni dog(F) , Prajapati is the devata . It belongs to Brahmin caste, look-

downwards, represents “A” swaram and odd number. Weakest part of the body is feet.

All the padas of this star fall under Sagittarius. This rasi starts with moola star. The lords of

all the four padas are mars, venus, mercury and moon. The lord of the house is Jupiter and

the lord of star is ketu. So these two will be key planets apart from pada lords, which we

need to consider.

1st pada – Mars is the ruler. Native will suffer with Inferiority complexity, aimless travel,

temple goers but do not know for what, married life is not good, problem from brother. The

native will covert others money, will be poor and bad relations with father.

2nd pada – Venus is the lord. The native will love comfort. Bad relations between mother

and son, will like sweets, charitable minded, will posses vehicles and are religious. Married

life may not be good.

3rd pada – Mercury is the lord. They are really religious people. Person will need every

minute detail and argue about it. Native will love learning. He will be rich but extravagant in

his expenses.

4th pada – Moon is the lord. Such natives will have mind problems, aimless in life, problem

from mother. Will be very rich. Such people will have high government posts. He will be

able to manage many people. He will be mad about women. They Will have a feminine

voice. He knows to be tactful and charm others.

As the name suggests, it is considered to be the starting star or moola the ‘start point’.

Hanuman was born in this star. It’s good for travels. Success is sure while travelling

southern and western directions. Girls maturing in this star will beget good progeny. The

sign for this star is Sagittarius.

Promptness and alertness are its characteristics and his speech is marked by clarity and

straight forwardness.

The star is auspicious for such ceremonies as naming, bangle, seemantam functions, oil

bath after illness, agricultural operations, use of mantras, travel, painting and architecture.

The letters “yey”, ”yo”, “pa” and “pee” correspond to the four padas respectively.

Ketu dasa is the starting dasa for this star natives and shaanti has to be done to avert evil.

The child will be ill in its early years. Danger from weapon is likely in the 50th year and in

60th year danger to life. If these are averted the native will live until 90 yrs.

This star is seen brightly shining in the month of July in the Aquarius sign.

Moolam is another special star with special characteristics. Though anujanma with ashwati

and magham, they are more extroverted in nature. They will be roaming here and there

(and like roaming always). Though lazy and dull a bit, still they are sharp in memory or

grasping things. Not considered a good star for everybody, this could be just a kind of

superstition.

Since ketu is the ruler, so such people will be proud, having different outlook in life.

Seemingly matured, they are unpredictable as well (cannot predict how they will be). And

as a result they are often misjudged (like Hanuman who had hidden talent which was never

brought out and brought out only through seeking rama). Taking cue from Hanuman's life,

such people should try to be spiritual in life so that their talents will be easily brought out.

Poorvaashaadha/ Pooraadam

This and next star uttaraashada constitutes a square and hence this being only two is called

ardhataaraa or half star. It belongs to manushya gana, feminine gender, monkey yoni and

Brahmin caste.

Harsh by nature, with lowered look, Poorvaashaadha is called a blind star. Its residence is

village, vaayu mandalam, “Pa” swaram, tamarind tree and parakeet bird.

The ruler of this star is venus. The anujanma of this star is bharani and poorvaphalguni.

Bharani star is in mars as well as venus house. So bharani people are sometimes aggressive

as well. Poorvaphalguni is in house of sun. They are very smart and power oriented.

Poorvaashaadha is in house of Jupiter. They are good natured, dominating and short

tempered. There will be something peculiar about the people of this star.

General characteristics

They are doubtful people, socializing, lively, enjoy life, they want money, power, name and

fame, they want to be in the limelight, egoistic, they want attention, they want to help

others, they have expectations, others have to appreciate them, they feel secluded,

passionate, workaholic, they need good and tasty food, they lead a posh life, passionate and

emotional, they suddenly change moods, soft natured, they want results for whatever they

do, they will help people who help them, clever people , they become fat later in life. They

are also lazy people and need pushing.

Those born in this star will be tall in stature, have long sharp fingers, will be bold and

enterprising in every activity. They are very smart.

They will give special attention to every piece of work. They will be held in high esteem. In

short they will be wise people.

The four padas of this star fall in dhanus itself. The rulers of the pada are sun, mercury,

venus and mars. The planets to be considered are Jupiter as the house lord and venus as

the ruler of the star along with the pada lords.

1st pada – The lord is sun. The native will be independent, rely on himself. Ever active, But

it is doubtful whether he will get adequate recompose for his work all the time. They will be

egoistic and power seeking.

Hilter belongs to this pada.

2nd pada – The ruler is mercury which is an amsa of vishnu’s beneficent hand of grace.

Native is intelligent. They can be spiritual. Native will be philanthropic, sweet-tongued and

dignified in appearance. There is no scarcity of food in a vaishnava temple and likewise

under the mercy of mercury the native will never suffer from want.

3rd pada – Venus is the lord. They know how to manage well, socializing well. They are

lucky people. Even if the native leads a blemish less life others look upon him with

suspicious eye. Aishwarya rai and Osho belongs to this pada.

4th Pada – Mars is the lord. Harshness is natives second nature. They live by dominating

others. Uttering false statements he will persist in his claim about their truthfulness. They

will have problem, quarrel with partners, aggressive, create problem and enjoy and go

away. They will ever be guarded and cautious and sees that no one draws closer to him. He

will indulge bodily in evil activities. It is natural for him to hate all good and wise men.

All the natives can have spiritual bent of mind, except the 4th pada.

As we have always mentioned we have to see entire horoscope to conclude anything about

the individual. But some of these characteristics we can see in the people we know.

It is good for the study of mathematics and economics, for buying cattle, for storing

weapons, for agricultural activities, for planting sugarcane and buying pearls and corals. It

is auspicious for digging ponds and wells, for preparing medicines, for application of

mantras, for mining and settlement of debts.

This star helps promotion of evil activities like theft lying etc. Gils maturing in this star are

unlucky to lose their husbands. This is not good for travel, but if travelling is compulsory, it

can be commenced after taking milk. Travel can be commence din southern and northern

directions.

The letters “Pu”, ”Dha”, ”pa” and “Ta” respectively correspond to the four padas. If names

starting with these letters are given the native will have longevity and lead a healthy life,

say the astrologists.

The natives will meet with critical life situations until they reach youth stage and escape

danger to their lives either due to sunstroke, chilling or drowning. Hence it is essential to do

shaanti for the natives born in this star. It is doubtful whether they attain their 60th year. If

they cross this barrier, they will live upto 80 years.

This star can be seen in the month of August after 10p.m in the sign of Pisces.

Purvashada is an interesting star. There are general traits or characteristics of the star --

they are generally food loving, pleasing in nature, socializing well and interacting well with

each other. Always they like to be with people (and therefore tough to find them alone).

Generally they are slow in everything but very steady. Passionate and hence not very well

suited for intellectual jobs -- they cannot lead people but can follow the orders of a leader.

All these passionate nature etc. can be attributed to the ruling planet of Venus. Venus being

a passionate planet makes their nature passionate. Such people will also thereby be

attached to people around them. They cannot remain without attachment (or attached

people).

Generally soft in nature, they can be fighting if cornered. These people generally cannot be

in the spiritual path due to their desires (and being passionate in nature).

Artistic in nature, they will generally have passion for things that are appealing - many can

be said to be learning some sciences that are attractive (like music, art etc.). Managing or

fooling purvashada people is very easy as they are soft in nature - in other words, they are

easy manipulated by others.

Uttaraashaada/ Uttaraadam

The two stars combining with poorvashada appear like the four legs of the cot and shine in

the firmament of the pole star (dhruva). Its gender is feminine and its gana is human. It

has an upward look, Dull by nature, it is likened to a barren cow. Its area is indra

mandalum.

Ruler of Uttarashada is sun. The anujanma of this star is kartika and uttaram. These are all

rajo guna dominant. They want roaming, name, fame and power. Karthika people are

physically active. Uttara people are more mentally active. Uttarashada people are bit slow.

But the common trait in all is need of power, name and fame.

The tree is jackfruit pertaining to the star. Mangoose(M) is the animal and the weakest part

of the body is stomach.

General Characteristics

They are practical people, Good by nature, Feel restless if not given power. They should be

given position and power. They are active. They will nto be able to adjust with all people

easily. If they adjust, they will do so with displeasure. They like comfort and pleasures.

They will try to evade certain situations.

They will be worldly wise. They will be interested to learn more and more about every field

of activity. Desiring integrity they will lead an honest and pure life. Full of good qualities

they are orthodox and observe every penance. They will entertain gurus and Brahmins, ever

speaking softly. They will never use harsh words. Humour will be there in speech, in action

they are heroic. They will have more sons than daughters.

One pada of this star is in Dhanus and rest 3 padas are in Makara. We need to consider

Jupiter along with sun for first pada and rest padas we should consider Saturn and sun.

1st pada – Ruler of this pada is Jupiter. Jupiter as the rasi lord as well as pada lord is to be

considered along with the sun the ruler of the star. The natives are experts in sastric

knowledge. They are proficient in expositions too of what they learnt. Dutiful towards their

guru, they are pious by nature. They will perform every action to perfection.

2nd pada: The lord is Saturn. So we need to consider Saturn as the rasi lord as well as pada

lord along with sun the ruler of the star. Sun and Saturn are enemies, so natives born in

this pada would be engaged in sinful activities and lose their wealth. And later suffer. By

associating with bad characters they will ever be ailing with some disease or the other. They

will create problems for others and themselves, but as sun is the ruler of the star, they will

get out of problems. They will have their own small group of people and move with them.

Problem for father, partner and at job place is seen. Having right knowledge is tough for

them.

3rd pada: Saturn is the lord. It is similar to the pada before. His aspect is fiercer. Those born

in this pada, take delight in giving harm to others. They will be intelligent later in life. They

will try to escape. They will suffer from suppression, heart problems. They will have

intellectual problems. They will suffer from diseases and enemies.

4th pada: Jupiter is the lord. We need to consider, Jupiter as pada lord, Saturn as rasi lord

and sun as the lord of the star. This pada is considered as lucky. The native will ever be

indulging in some activity or other. Understanding every problem clearly he will speak boldly

and explicitly. Cheerfulness and enthusiasm are part of his nature.

This star is not good for travel, but if travel is compulsory one has to take meal with ginger

and then proceed in the westerly or southern direction.

If one falls ill in this star, a month’s cure us necessary. Girls maturing in this star will

become very learned and take interest in religious affairs.

It is auspicious for bangle ceremony, seemantam, naming ceremony, upanayanam, for

beginning vedic studies and for wearing new clothes and ornaments.

It is good also for taking up government job., house-warming, marriage, agriculture

operations, for planting orchards and other auspicious occasions.

The names beginning with such letters as “pe”, “po”, “ra” and “Jee” are appropriate for the

four padas respectively . Naming the children in such a way makes them prosperous and

long-lived.

The star can be seen in the month of August at 11p.m.

This star of uttarashada is ruled by planet Sun. There is just one similarity between

purvashada and uttarashada in that both these stars are social in nature - this means that

such people will socialize well. Though purvashada are a bit slow, uttarashada people are

fast and sharp and smart. They are very smart and therefore can get things done very

easily through others. They are good for management positions whereas purvashada are

good for followers (rather than those who are leading or controlling or managing others).

Since sun is the ruler therefore they are power seeking or power craving. They also want to

travel a lot, like to talk a lot, discuss things with others - but sometimes we can say that

focus will not be there that much for such people (mostly also because they know what they

want and focus will only be on that).

Character of uttarashada differs also based on the rasi it falls under both dhanus and

makara.

We have seen three stars 19, 20 and 21 in order. We shall continue on star characteristics

Muhurtha – Electional Astrology - V

If we recollect what we have studied in brief on muhurtha in these series, we have seen

what is panchanga, what does it consist of and the significance in determining a muhurtha.

We have studied each anga of panchaga to an extent. After familiarizing ourselves with the

terms, lets now learn how panchanga can be used for determining a muhurtha. We shall

also see what are the rules we need to keep in mind to do the same.

A muhurtha, should always fortify the lagna lord of the individual, moon and the

significations of the house based on the event taking place. It should strengthen the

ascendant. Sometimes only movable signs should be considered, sometimes fixed signs.

The first three degrees of Aries, Taurus, Virgo and Sagittarius should not be considered as

its inauspicious for any event. It is supposed to be of the nature of serpent or bhujanga,

hence destructive. Last three degrees of Pisces, Capricorn, cancer and Scorpio should be

avoided, as it’s supposed to be presided over by rahu. The middle three degrees of Gemini,

libra, leo and aquarius should be avoided as its ruled by gridhra.

The 4th, 8th, 12th and 14th tithi of the bright and darker half of the moon should be avoided

for any auspicious undertakings.

Tuesday and Saturday should be avoided as well for auspicious events.

Muhurthas or auspicious moments are looked for all the important events in an individuals

life. The shodasa karmas or 16 ceremonies from life to death in an individual’s life, the

muhurtha gains significance. It’s said that every 7 years every cell in our body is renewed.

For fixing an auspicious time, apart from the planetary locations to be considered for the

specific purpose, one has to see 1) The strength of the constellation 2) Lunar strength 3)

Panchaka or five source energy.

1. Strength of constellation or Tarabala: The ruling star at the time of birth which can

be determined using a panchanga or a calendar. It gives the constellation the person

is born in. The star or constellation on the day of muhurtha should be determined.

Page 26: Jyothisha Prakaasham Karkataka Jaya - Vedanta Tattvavedantatattva.org/.../Jaya/Karkataka/JyothishaPrakaasham_Karkatak… · More analysis on this can be found in the Gochara article

26

The difference between the stars should be calculated. Divided it by 9, if the

difference is more than 9. The remainder determines the tarabala.

If remainder is 1 – Janma – indicates danger to body

2 – Sampat - indicates wealth and prosperity

3 – Vipat – dangers, losses and accidents

4 – Kshema – prosperity

5 – Pratyak – obstacles

6 – sadhana – Realization of goals/ambitions

7 – Naidhana – Dangers

8 – Mitra – Good

9 – Parama Mitra – Very Favourable

Say a person is born in ashwini star and on the day of the star I swathi which is 15th star.

This divided by 9 gives remainder of 6. Number 6 stands for Sadhana. Means the goal or

ambition of the event will be met. Means the person will achieve what he set out to.

One can arrive at remainder 3 or 7 in the first paryaya or 2nd cycle or 3rd cycle. Here the

star can fall in the 1st cycle of nine stars or 2nd cycle of nine stars. The evil effects of the any

tara bala is more in first cycle compared than other cycles. The bad effects are in full in first

cycle, 50% in 2nd circle and 25% only in 3rd cycle. The evil done by vipat, naidhana in the

3rd cycle is very minimal.

But it’s advisable to avoid Vipat tara(3), Naidhana(7) for any occasions and events in life.

2. Lunar Strength/ Chandra Bala: The position of the moon on the day of the muhurtha

should be in favourable position from the janma rasi. It should not be in 3, 6, 8 or

12th houses from the janma nakshatra. Also certain stars should be avoided for all

occasions. Bharani is condemned for all good work and it has to be scrupulously

avoided for all good work.

3. Panchaka or five force energy: For matters of not much importance, starting out to

travel to nearby place or to buy a vehicle or going for interview etc, a favourable

tarabala will do and there is no need to consider panchaka. But for major events in

life like marriage, nuptials, house warming ceremony, naming ceremony etc the

Page 27: Jyothisha Prakaasham Karkataka Jaya - Vedanta Tattvavedantatattva.org/.../Jaya/Karkataka/JyothishaPrakaasham_Karkatak… · More analysis on this can be found in the Gochara article

Jyothisha Prakaasham Karkataka (Jaya)

Vetti yah vedaangam sa aapnothi paramam padam

prathikoolanivaarakam mokshopakaarakam cha

27

panchaka has to be considered. So on such occasions one needs to consider the tithi

which states the day in the month , the week day I,e Sunday , Monday etc, the star

like ashwini, bharani etc, the lagna also is considered. Then add all the numbers like,

if its 1st day of month , 1st day of the week, first star and mesha lagna the count

shall be 1+1+1+1 = 4. If remainder is 1 –its mrityu panchaka. If remainder is 2 –

agni panchaka, risk from fires. If remainder is 4 its raja panchaka, bad results are

given. If 6 chora panchaka, means threat from thieves. If it’s 8 it is called roga

panchaka and shows evil happenings. If remainder is 3,5,7,0 then it’s good. Here we

have remainder as 4. So it means raja panchaka , which indicates bad results.

They are many things in astrology, which indicate subtle forces acting at a given time. If

properly understood and followed will minimize the evil influences indicated by planets,

stars, lunar days.

When a person has to see panchaka for occupation, one should avoid raja panchakam. For

house building, avoid both raja panchaka and agni panchaka. For travel chora panchaka has

to be avoided. So one can ignore raja panchaka for travelling and agni panchaka for job

purposes. As far a possible it’s advisable to avoid all evil panchakas. But in cases where

more auspicious days are not available, we resort to lesser evil panchakas.

With respect to tarabala the 1st, 3rd , 5th and 7th are to be avoided always. But in cases when

the day is favourable, the negative parts of these unfavourable constellations may be

avoided. Thus in janma, vipat, pratyak and naidhana constellations the 7, 3, 8 and 6 ghatis

may be considered evil and avoided. Thus a man whose janma nakshatra is pushyami can

undertake a venture on a day ruled by makha, which is its vipat tara. But he should avoid

first seven ghatis of the constellation, then no evil shall befall. But such exceptions should

be taken, only when there is no option and the event cannot be delayed any further.

A day ruled by one’s janma nakshtra is generally not favourable for any kind of events to

take place. But for nuptials, sacrifices, first feeding, agriculture, upanayanam, coronation,

buying lands, learning the alphabet, janma nakshatra is favourable without exception. But it

is inauspicious for war, sexual union, shaving, taking medical treatment, travel and

marriage. For woman janma nakshatra will be favourable for marriage.

We shall learn more about muhurtha in the next edition of the magazine.

Gandantha – An Analysis - II

We have learnt in the earlier series on this topic, the various kinds of gandanta as

mentioned in our ancient texts. We shall see some more references to the text and also see

more examples of gandanta.

As per Jataka Parijata Vol 2 , chapter 9th

Sloka 45: Gandanta which consists of 7.5 ghatikas at the junctions of each of the three

pairs of stars Moola and jyesta, Magha and Aslesha, Revati and Aswini is productive of much

evil to the human beings. The ghatika at the junction of jyesta and moola is termed

abhukta. Any girl, boy, beast or slave born in this time will ruin the family.

A person born in abhukta moola will cause the death of father at the very moment of his

birth. If the person born in abhukta mula that is the junction between jyestha and moola

should live , he will be the cause of his family's pre-eminence, raise its status and will be

prosperous. He may perhaps command an army.

As we have have seen in the previous magazine, one ghatika is equal to 24 mins. In two

ghatika the movement of moon is 26 mins 39 secs.

So 7.5 ghatikas at the junctions equals to 3.25 ghatikas on either side of the house.

3.25*24" = 78" = 1 deg and 18 ". So approx 1 deg on either side of the house forms the

gandanta.

Chart 1

Analysis:

Here the native is born in revathi 4th pada. So it's in gandaanta. Moon stands for mother.

The mother of the native will also be in trouble. As the 3rd house is afflicted by the

gandaanta, the kith and kin will also be effected. The brother of this native also has

troubles. His horoscope also shows indications of short life.

Thus the mother and brother of the native are effected. Due to moon, the mind is also

effected. The native is not strong mentally and doesn’t have much faith and trust as well.

Native has a very fluctuating mind.

Jiddu Krishnamurthy

Analysis:

This is the chart of world famous leader from the theosophical society. We see that moon is

in 2 deg and the star is moola 1st pada. We all know that jiddu Krishnamurthy lost his

mother at young age. Moon in the 12th house also is the cause. 8th lord sun though exalted

is in the 4th house all added to it and he lost his mother. He never had any family

happiness or bondage.

He was in depression at the loss of his mother. He also had to go through lot of problems

and was separated from family. Moon is also the 7th lord. This denied him of marital life. As

7th lord stands for name and fame, He did get some bad name as a result of his activities at

the society.

His whole life was a tragedy with lot of troubles and mishaps, though he got world famous.

He was separated from his family and family members. He underwent lot of spiritual

transformation due to all these situations.

Sloka 46 to 48: Make ten divisions of equal parts of the ghatis taken by moon to pass

through jyesta. If the child is born in the 1st tenth of the star, it will cause the death of

mother's mother. If in the 2nd tenth of the star, of mother's father; if in the 3rd tenth, of

mother's brother; if in the 4th tenth of the star, of the mother herself; if in the 5th tenth, of

the child born; if in the 6th tenth of cattle and wealth; if in the 7th tenth, of both the

families; if in the 8th tenth of the whole race; if in the 9th 10th of the father in law; if in the

10th tenth of everything.

Sloka 49: If a girl born in jyestha coupled with Tuesday, will remove her elder brother from

the world, while the girl born in moola on Sunday will cause the father in law to depart.

Sloka 50: A person born in the 1st quarter of the star Jyesta will soon cause the death of

eldest brother. If a person be born in the 2nd quarter of the star, it will cause the death of

youngest among the elder brothers. If in the 3rd quarter, it will cause death of his father. If

in the 4th quarter, the person may die himself.

Shakuntala devi, who was known as the human computer all over the world, was born in

jyesta 3rd pada. She lost her father later in life and had to earn for her family by giving

various public performances and earning money. She had faced lot of troubles in life. We

can term her life as tragic.

Atal bihar Vajpayee is also Jyesta 3rd pada. I do not know much about his father's death.

Sloka 51: if a person is born in the 1st quarter of the moola star, he will occasion the death

of his father. If in the 2nd quarter, the death of his mother very soon, if in the 3rd quarter,

will occasion the loss of wealth, if in the 4th quarter he will be very happy.

We had seen one chart in the previous edition of the magazine, where the native of the

chart belongs to moola 1st pada. The native's father is in very bad shape in life and mother

is no more living. So we can see the effects of moola here.

Jiddu Krishnamurthy belongs to first pada of moola. He lost his mother at very young age

and later he was separated from his father as well. He lead a life of misery away from his

family.

Sloka 56: if the birth happens in 1st quarter of the star aslesha, there is no danger to any

person. If it’s the 2nd quarter, there is risk of losing money. If it is in 3rd quarter, his

mother runs the risk of loosing her life. If it's in 4th quarter the father runs a similar risk.

Sloka 57: The person born in the 1st quarter of moola, magha or ashwini will loose his

father, but if the birth be in the last quarter of revati, jyesta or aslesha, there will be loss of

mother, father and the child, it being immaterial when the birth happens.

Sloka 58: The person in ganda loses his father, if the time be day and mother of the time of

birth be night and if the birth time be in between junctions of day and night, the person will

himself die, so that ganda fails not of effect.

Sloka 59: There is ganda at the conclusion of gandatara such as revati, aslesha and jyesta

at night and at the commencement of a gandantara such as ashwini, magha or moola

during the day at the junction of a pair of gandaantara in the junctions of day and night.

This is a distinguishing mark of ganda period.

Sloka 60: If a person is born in dhanur lagna, in the star of poorvashada , he will loose his

father. If a person is born in karkataka lagna with moon in pushyami star, he will cause

death of father.

Chart 3

Analysis:

Above is a chart of native born in magha 2nd pada. We can see that the moon is in 3 deg in

leo. The native had lost mother early. There are afflictions as well to the 4th lord sun. It's in

8th house and 4th house is afflicted by rahu and ketu. Thus it lead to demise of mother

early in life. As we can see Saturn is the 9th lord and is neecha and in the 12th, hence her

father also died before her mother. Due to lot of afflictions to the moon, sun, 4th and 9th

lords, she had to suffer from separation from family.

We have spoken till now the gandanta stars and the evil effects of the same. We have seen

gandaanta lagna as well. If the tithi falls in the same gandanta time, it's not at all

auspicious and should not be taken up for any occasions.

Planets if located at the end of any house i.e at 28, 29 deg or 1 deg or 2 deg of any house

are also said to be in the gandaanta location. It means at the end of house. Such planets

also do not give full effects and often give bad effects. The good effects of the planets and

lordships will not be felt in life. So its like removing all the aspects of life it stands for.

This brings us to the end of the topic of gandanta. We have seen various perspectives and

seen many examples of gandanta and have seen what the ancient texts say about it. So

gandanta is not auspicious and the effects of which can be felt in our lives. The complete

horoscope has to be studied though before doing the predictions. It should not be solely

depended on the gandanta conditions. But the effects of gandanta do show to an extent in

the lives of the people belonging to the stars mentioned.

Kemadruma Yoga

This is one of the yogas very less known to people. This is one of the yogas which gives bad

effects. Many good effects of other yogas are neutralized by this yoga. Many texts like

brihat parasara hora sastra, hora sara, hora satak, Saravali and brihat jataka talk about this

yoga.

This is one of the lunar yogas. This yoga happens when either side of the moon is not

occupied by planets. Such a native even though born as a king will live like a beggar and

suffer misery.

There are many views about this yoga. It's said that if planets are there in a Kendra from

lagna or from moon, then cancellation of the yoga happens. Also if any planet aspects the

moon as well cancellation of the yoga happens. The worse part of this yoga can be seen in

the dasa or sub dasa of the moon. It's said that if the moon is unaspected and if from lagna

or moon there is no planet in the Kendra, such a native faces the evil effects of the yoga to

the full.

Let's see what the ancient texts say about this yoga.

Brihat jataka of varahamihira

Excepting the Sun, if the other planets occupy, the 2nd, the 12th, or both the 2nd and the

12th houses from the Moon, the yogas are _ respectively known as Sunapba, Anapha or

Durudbura; otherwise (a), the yoga is known as Kemadruma by numerous writers.

According to some (b), if the Moon occupy the Kendra house from the ascendant or if the

Moon be accompanied by a planet, the yoga ceases to be a Kemadruma yoga. According to

others (c), the three yogas, Sunapba, Anapba anj Durudhura are referred to the Kendra

houses from the Moon (d); while again, some others refer the three yogas to the houses on

both sides of the sign the Navamsa of which the Moon occupies , But these views are not

considered as authoritative.

A person born in a Kemadruma yoga, though he may belong to a king's family, will be dirty,

afflicted with grief, will do deeds not suited to his rank in life, will be poor,

will serve under others and will be wicked.

Hora shatak

It has been mentioned in almost all classical works of Hindu Astrology that if there are no

planets in the 2nd and 12th from the Moon, a very inauspicious Yoga known

As Kemadruma is formed. The result of this Yoga has been given by 'Jatakadesa Marga' as

under- "The man born in Kemadruna Yoga will always be intent on other people's wives,

desirous of other's food, engaged in doing wicked and unrighteous deeds, plunged in debts

and indulging in sensual pleasures." There will be no Kemadruma Yoga if there is any planet

in Kendra from the Moon or if the Moon is in

Kendra from Lagna.

BHPS vol1 chapter 37

ll-13. KEMADRAMA YOGA .. including the Sun, should there be no planet with the Moon or in

the 2nd/l2th from the Moon or in an angle from the ascendant, Kemadruma yoga is formed.

One born in Kemadruma yoga will be very much reproached, be bereft of intelligence and

learning and reduced to penury and perils.

94-99.I f malefics be in the Karakamsa, Arudha Lagna and the 2nd and 8th from these

places, there will be Kemadruma yoga; the effects of which will be still sever if the Moon's

aspect be there. The effects due for these yogas will come to pass in the Dasa periods of the

Rasis of planets concerned. Kemadruma Yoga will operate additionally if there are malefics

in the 2nd and 8 from the Rasi whose Dasa will be going on. The results of such yoga will

also be inauspicious. If the 2nd and 8th in the chart cast for the beginning of a dasa have

malefics, then also Kemadruma prevails throughout the Dasa.

Saravali vol 1 , Chapter 13

Kemadruma yoga is formed if at least one of the said three yogas (anapha, sunpha and

durdhura) is not present or if moons angles are devoid of planets or if she is unaspected by

all planets. Such yoga cause extreme difficulties.

Hora sara, Chapter 24

opinion that if planets are in kendras from moon or lagna the yoga's bad effects are

We shall see some examples of charts with kemadruma yoga and the variations of the

effects of the yoga in the charts.

Chart 1

Analysis:

On either side of the moon there are no planets. So there is kema druma yoga. But Jupiter

and Saturn aspect the moon. From moon and there are planets in kendras. This reduces the

bad effects of the yoga.

planets are there in kendras. Kemdruma yoga exists in this chart as either side of moon

there are no planets i.e in the 2nd and 12th houses. Moon is also unaspected as well.

The native is not wealthy, has sufferings due to health issues and has no married life. For

his talents and capability, he should have earned a lot of name and fame. But it is missing

in his life. Though he is talented, there is no opportunity to showcase his talent. He faces

humiliations from people around him.

Moon is in the 8th house, which is not good. The amala yoga helps in not getting bad name.

Due to amala yoga, the effects of kemadruma yoga is reduced.

Native faces challenging situation In life, but due to his spiritual background, native is able

Analysis:

Native of the horoscope has kemadruma yoga, as there are no planets on either side of the

mars.

Native has position and name, though also miseries and sorrow are constant company.

Native faces lot of health issues. Wealth is there In ample.

Thus due to other good yogas in chart, like malavya yoga, vasumathi yoga etc, the

kemadruma yoga effects are reduced, though part of it is felt by the native.

Moon is not very badly located. So the effects of kemadruma yoga is not fully felt.

Thus we see that effects of kemadruma yoga in a chart are based on many factors. Planets

in kendras and planets aspecting moon help reduce the bad effects. Position of the moon

2nd lord has made his voice melodious. It has also made his speech very soft and not

hurting others. He is a person who mostly would not talk ill of others. Saturn associated

with venus also makes him speak truth openly sometimes.

Mars is neecha. Mars stands for fighting nature. Hence as mars is weak, we see that he not

a person who would like to get into conflicts or discuss them or fight for anything. He is

rather soft natured. Mars aspecting the 2nd house, shows lack of family happiness. As he

was most of the time away from home, we can infer the same. From moon also the 2nd lord

sun is in the 11th house with rahu and mercury. This is causing dhana yoga and due to

which he earned lot of money. 2nd house from lagna aspected by moon can also give

wealth.

Mars is the 5th and 12th lord which is debilitated and is in the 8th house. This shows that

children will be either away from him or will not listen to him. 5th house from moon is also

afflicted with sun, rahu and ketu. But from moon mars is yoga karaka and though neecha

causes lot of yoga, for him and his children.

Venus in the 12th house from moon, did not give him much marital happiness. This also

shows separation from wife. This materialized as he had to be away from family most of the

times.

6th house having sun had made him undefeated in his field. No one can oppose such

people. They cannot win over them. 9th lord is also sun which is in the 6th house with

enemy rahu. His father died when he was early in his career and the whole family

responsibility he took up.

The 3rd lord Saturn is in a Kendra. So he had support from his kith and kin and they also

were supported by him. Saturn association with venus shows that his sisters also shot to

fame through music.

Here we can see that 10th house has a benefic Jupiter. So it has amala yoga from lagna.

venus, which is 6th lord, this also lead to throat operation. Saturn is also in 29 degrees. So

it's very weak. From moon the 2nd lord sun is with enemy rahu as well. The 2nd house is

aspected by Saturn. All these factors gave such operation.

Lagna lord in 10th house, made him unparalleled in his profession.

On either side of 7th house there are malefics, this shows that married life will be in

troubles and wife will be in troubles. His wife alone had to take up the entire responsibility

of the house and bring up and support all. From moon 7th lord is in the 12th house so most

of his life he was away from wife.
