SUMMARY

• HELPING IS A NOBLE DEED. BUT, HELPING SOMEONE TO GET SOMETHING IN RETURN IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A NOBLE DEED. RUMPELSTILTSKIN IS A STORY WHICH PORTRAYS, THE GREEDY KING, WHO ASKS THE DAUGHTER OF THE POOR MILLER TO TURN STRAWS INTO GOLD. WHEN, SHE WAS UNABLE TO DO IT, THERE COMES, A LITTLE MAN. WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING ABOUT HIS DETAILS, THE DAUGHTER AGREED TO GIVE ANYTHING IN RETURN FOR THE FAVOUR OF THE LITTLE MAN. THIS ENDS UP IN PROMISING TO GIVE THE FIRST CHILD. WHEN THE TIME COMES, SHE REFUSES. THE LITTLE MAN SAYS “ IF YOU MANAGE TO FIND MY NAME, YOU CAN KEEP YOUR CHILD”. AND, THE SEARCHING CONTINUES. FINALLY, AS WE ALL KNOW, IT ENDED HAPPILY AS THE QUEEN FINDS OUT THE NAME OF THE LITTLE MAN.
