The Alumni Relations Office at Jordan University of Science and Technology was established in 2012 in response to the University's vision to excel as an academic institution on the international academic arena and achieve world class status. The main role of the Alumni Relations Office is to to build a lifelong, interactive and mutually-beneficial relationship between JUST and the alumni, and to manage communications and fundraising among graduates for the purpose of promoting the interests of the university and enhancing the student culture of engagement and support to the university. In the following years the alumni relations office will pursue several strategies

to achieve its goals of inspiring alumni to maintain a lifelong connection with the University, engage alumni to support the university by acting as advocates and ambassadors on behalf of the University and finally to establish and promote the culture of giving and philanthropy by alumni and JUST friends. The Alumni Relations Office will launch several projects in 2016 in order to support the office’s role of being the main alumni relations entity responsible for building and engaging a broad alumni community that supports the University. These projects include building an efficient and updated alumni database with existing work positions, emails and work addresses to serve as a contact list for alumni communication. When completed the database will be utilized to advance the University’s international ranking & initiate an online alumni direc-tory to help graduates and students to reconnect with each other and with the university. The office will also be responsible for performing student employability studies. The employability studies will provide the university with the data needed regarding the employment rates of JUST graduates in various sectors locally and on the regional and international levels in order to identify the specialties with the highest and lowest employment rates and the current needs of the employment market. Additionally the office is planning to establish an official annual fund for the purpose of enabling alumni and friends to donate what they can each year to generate a powerful collective fund capable of enhancing the student experience. The student annual fund can provide the university with a stream of revenue needed to enhance the quality of student experience at JUST. Finally, the Alumni Relations Office plans to utilize social and business media platforms for the purpose of reconnecting alumni with each other and with the university and thus creating a virtual community for everyone to contribute to. The administrative, career and social needs of our graduates will also be targeted by the office.
