Row 2: Ch 1, hhdc in each st across, turn.Rows 3–24 (26, 28, 30): Repeat Row 2. Fasten off.

Front Panel Join A to 1st unworked st on WS of Body. Repeat Rows 1–24 (26, 28, 30) of Back Panel. Do not fasten after last Row.

Join Panels Turn garment inside out, sl st through both Panels from edge toward center for 15–25 sts to seam shoulders. Fasten off. Join and do the same on other side. Turn back to RS.Check fit to make sure neckline fits properly.

Sleeves Join A to bottom side of armhole. Weaving ChainsAlternate weaving direction of each Vertical Chain. Weave down through 1st ch-1 space, up through next, working in the same column all the way to end. On next Vertical Chain, weave up through 1st ch-1 space, down through next, working in the same column all the way to end. Tie ends of Chain to space at the ends of Scarf. Weave Chains in order from left to right: A, B, B, A, C, A, C, C, C, C, C, A, C, A. Plaid pattern will begin to emerge. Blend chain tails with fringe, or weave into Scarf if fringe is not desired.

FinishingCut 56 strands of yarn in each color, 12” long. Taking 2 of each color, fold strands in half and loop through each ch-1 space at Scarf ends. Pull ends through loop to make fringe. Trim ends evenly.
