OVERTIME: Time & One-Half - All overtime worked Monday through Saturday. Saturday paid at 1½

SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Saturday Make-Up - Saturday shall be paid at one and one-half (1-1/2) times

the straight-time hourly rate. In the event of lost time Monday through Friday (except where an observed

holiday falls on a work-day), Saturday may be worked at straight time to make-up the lost time, provided the

tending craft(s) also have a Saturday Make-up Day or there are only Carpenters working on the jobsite.

Deductions (Apprentices): From the taxable hourly rate the Employer shall deduct a 4.25% working

Assessment plus $.10 per hour for all apprentices. From the taxable hourly rate of the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th

six month apprentices, the employer shall deduct $.50 for Vacation Savings, which shall be added to the non-

taxable hourly rate.

REPORTING TIME: Employees reporting at the request of the employer and not employed, receive four

(4) hours pay.

SHIFT WORK: First shift eight (8) hours work for eight (8) hours pay.

Second shift seven and half (71/2) hours work for eight (8) hours pay.

Third shift seven (7) hours work for eight (8) hours pay.

All shift work shall receive eight (8) hours of fringe benefits. First shift begins between 6 a.m. through 9:30

a.m. Second shift begins between 2:30 p.m. through 6 p.m. Third shift begins between 10 p.m. through 1:30

a.m. Employers may work a second or third shift without a first shift. A thirty (30) minute meal period shall

be scheduled at the midpoint of the scheduled work shift.

SHOW-UP PAY: - Employees reporting and unable to work due to the weather receive $10. travel expense.

Employees reporting and receiving work are paid for actual time, but not less than two (2) hours.

TRAVEL PAY: No traveling time for employment within NEOC jurisdiction except when moving men

from shop to job or job to job during work hours. For such wages see appropriate appendix. PARKING -

Up to $4/per day per man, if nothing free is available within ½ mile of the job site.

WORK DAY /WEEK: Eight (8) hours, 8 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., ½ hour for lunch, Monday through

Friday. Employer may establish hours 6 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. with starting times 6 a.m. through 9:30 a.m.

SHOW-UP PAY: Any employee who reports for work and for whom work is provided, shall be paid for

actual time worked, but not less than two hours, weather permitting, provided he remains available for work.

If the Employer notifies the Employee by designated television stations, telephone or in person not to report

to work, then the Employee shall not be entitled to reporting pay under this provision.

OVERTIME: Time & One-half: Monday - Saturday. In the event of lost time Monday through Friday

(except where an observed holiday falls on a workday.) Saturday may be worked at straight time to make-up

the lost time. If an Employee is called out on Saturday, a minimum of four (4) hours work is guaranteed.

Double time: Sundays and holidays.

There shall be no pyramiding of overtime rates and double the straight-time hourly rate shall be the

maximum compensation for any hour worked.

SPECIAL RATES:

+ $.50 for work done in driven tunnels and subways, under air pressure.

+ $.40 for work done on new bowling alleys plus repair and/or maintenance of the same.

+ $.25 for work done on swinging scaffolds

+ $.25 for employers working with creosote, chemically treated or toxic

materials, or other materials that may be injurious to health, skin or clothing.

WORK DAY/WEEK: Eight (8) hours, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., ½ hour for lunch, Mon. - Fri.

TRAVEL PAY: There is no travel pay. However, when an employee reports to work and is not allowed to

start work because of inclement weather and has not been notified before reporting to the job, he shall be

paid $10.00 travel expense pending his remaining on job for one hour. ^

shift to be covered by this provision. An Employee shall not be required to work under any condition that

may endanger his health or safety.

Apprentice Deductions: A 4.25% working dues assessment and from the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th six month

apprentices only, a deduction of $1.00 for Vacation Savings, all from the taxable hourly rate. This will then

SHOW-UP PAY: When an Employee reports to work and is not allowed to start work because of inclement

weather and has not been notified before reporting to the job, he shall be paid $10.00 travel expense. The

Employee must remain on the job for one (1) hour ready to work in order to qualify. Any Employee who

reports for work and for whom work is provided, shall be paid for actual time worked, but not less than two

(2) hours, weather permitting, provided he remains available for work.

OVERTIME: All overtime work performed Monday through Saturday shall be paid at one and one-half

times the straight time hourly rate. Saturday shall be paid at one and one-half times the straight time hourly

rate. In the event of lost time Monday through Friday (except where an observed holiday falls on workday.)

Saturday may be worked at straight time to make-up the lost time. If an Employee is called out on Saturday,

a minimum of four (4) hours work is guaranteed.

Work performed on Sundays and holidays shall be paid at two (2) times the straight time hourly rate. There

shall be no pyramiding of overtime rates and double the straight time hourly rate shall be the maximum

compensation for any hour worked.

SHIFT WORK: First shift shall work eight (8) hours at the regular straight time hourly rate.

The first shift shall begin between 6 a.m.-9:30 a.m.

Second shift shall work seven and one-half hours and receive eight times the regular straight time hourly

rate. The second shift shall begin between 2:30 p.m.-6 p.m.

Third shift shall work seven hours and receive eight times the regular straight time hourly rate.

The third shift shall begin between 10 p.m.-1:30 a.m. All shifts worked shall receive eight hours of fringe

benefits. A thirty minute unpaid lunch period shall be scheduled at the midpoint of the scheduled work shift.

Shifts shall not overlap. An Employer may work a second or a third shift without a first shift. When for

reasons beyond the control of the Employer, it is impossible to work a crew in the daytime, namely work in

occupied stores, hotels, office buildings, banks, etc., the Employer may be permitted to figure such work at

second shift wage rates. During the regular work week when men are transferred from a shift to a different

shift during a different working day and where there is an intervening shift, both worked shifts shall be paid

at the respective straight time hourly rates.

PARKING: Employees shall be paid for actual parking expenses incurred, up to $4.00 per day per man,

provided that there is no free parking available within one-half mile of the job site and provided further that

the employee presents a valid receipt.

TRAVEL PAY: There shall be no traveling time allowed the employees in connection with employment

within the jurisdiction of the Union; except when the employees are moved from shop to job, or job to job

during working hours, they shall be paid the wages provided from in the appendix for that area.

WORK DAY/WEEK: Eight hours shall constitute a day's work between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.,

with one-half hour for lunch, Monday through Friday inclusive. Nothing in this agreement shall be construed

as guaranteeing an employee eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week. The employer must

establish the scheduled starting time for the next week no later than the preceding Friday.

4 - 10's - At the discretion of the employer and the Union a 4-10 hour schedule may be worked. Friday only

would become the make-up day in a 4-10's schedule. When the Friday make-up is used it is agreed that when

a crew works 30 hours or less during the regular 4-10's work week, Monday through Thursday this 10 hours

may be made up by the entire crew on Friday weather permitting at the regular rate of wages. All hours

worked in excess of the forty (40) hours in the workweek or ten (10) hours each day, shall be paid at the

appropriate overtime rate. In the event of a make-up day it shall be voluntary on the part of the Carpenter (s)

and the declining of such work shall be without penalty or recrimination. Notice will be given by noon

Thursday if a Make-up Day is to be worked.

TRAVEL PAY: $.20 PER MILE PER CAR or employer provides transportation when men are moved

between jobs during working hours.

REPORTING PAY: Employers reporting but work is not ready, weather permitting, and receive one hour

pay. Paid Meal - Employees required to take their lunch outside the scheduled period receive applicable

overtime rate for the same.

WORK DAY/WEEK: 8 hours, 6 p.m., 30 minutes lunch, Monday-Friday, Saturday make-up for crews

Apprentice ratio to Journeyman:

Now it is 1:2, after five (5) journeymen, an apprentice shall be employed as the next carpenter. One (1)

additional apprentice shall be employed for every five (5) journeymen thereafter. After the first apprentice is

employed, the ratio of apprentices shall not exceed one (1) apprentice for every three (3) journeymen.

OVERTIME: Overtime rates for the first two (2) hours worked before, after or accumulative of the

established work day shall be one and one-half (1-1/2) times the regular wage rate. Saturday work shall be

paid for at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the regular rate up to eight (8) hours. Work over ten hours shall be

double time. Sundays and holidays and worked lunch periods shall be double time also.

REPORTING PAY: Craftsmen reporting for work, unless the employer notifies the employee by the end of

the previous day not to report, shall receive one hours pay if work is not started by the normal starting time.

If an employee stays on the job after normal starting time, he shall receive two (2) hours pay. The employer

may request the employee to remain on the job for two (2) hours. If employee starts to work, he shall receive

four (4) hours pay. If any employee works more than four (4) hours, he shall receive eight (8) hours pay.
