SynopsisSynopsis

Junkyard Junction Junkyard Junction is a children’s television franchise centered on a fictional group of characters who live in a secret village located on a small farm just outside of Sunshine City. Created by, and first introduced as an illustrated book by James Pottebaum and Kelly Johns in 2006. The Junkyard Junction characters were designed to appeal to boys and girls between the ages of 2 to 8, with varied interests. Simple story lines are intended to teach children about life lessons and the world in which they live.

Squirt is a friendly, athletic, and adventurous person. He makes friends easily and loves to have fun. His curiosity can often get him into sticky situations but he can always count on his intelligent wit to get him out of trouble. He looks forward to excitement and change and is never afraid to take risks.

Sassy – The Movie StarSassy – The Movie Star

It's always about Sassy! People who don't know the real Sassy often see her as an ego-maniac that takes narcissism to a whole new level. She loves being the center of attention and will do anything in her power to be successful at everything she does. She is competitive and loves to be spontaneous. Her beauty and talent will take her far! Despite her flaws, everyone is captivated by her charm and is drawn to her magnetic personality.

Sassy lives in a beautiful doll house and loves showing off in her cherry red remote-contol convertible. Hobbies and interests include: acting, singing, dancing, and modeling.

Bug – The ArtistBug – The Artist

Sassy’s biggest fan. As an artist, Bug enjoys anything that will allow his creativity and imagination to run wild. He has a tendency to be a pushover and is eager to please. His kindness and generosity make it difficult for him to say "no" to others as he often put other's needs before his own. Bug is intelligent and resourceful but lacks self-confidence and ambition. He is a devoted friend who also enjoys the finer things in life.

Hugo – The Gardner

Hugo is a nature lover. He enjoys the simple things in life. He has a tendency to be somewhat shy and quiet while he tries to avoid being the center of attention. Even though Hugo suffers from low self-esteem, he is mostly content with who he is and where his life is going as long as things don’t move too fast. He needs to thoroughly analyze everything before making a decision and he hates feeling pressured or to be rushed.

Stanley, the handyman, if it's broken, he knows how to fix it. He is good with tools and enjoys working with his hands. Stanley is hard working and strong. Everyone comes to him when they need someone to get the job done right. He is always willing to help a friend in need.

Betty and Belinda’s HomeBetty and Belinda’s Home

Betty and Belinda are not only sisters but the Life of the party! They are the first ones called by their friends and family when they want to have a good time. They are the perfect hosts and everyone says they always throw the best parties. All that fun can be tiring. They find themselves taking a lot of naps and sleeping the day away. Hobbies and interests include: cooking, decorating, party planning, and entertaining.

Future Characters of Future Characters of Junkyard JunctionJunkyard Junction

Rowdy: The world traveler who lives on a ship made from a rubber duck. Rowdy enjoys sharing stories about his adventures and educating children about the many cultures that share our planet.

Harmony: The free spirited & energetic musician that lives in a drum. She loves to sing and dance. She also wants to teach children about musical instruments and the variety of music that can be played with them.

Sydney: The scientist. The rocket she lives in is often used to transport Sydney and her friends to strange and magical places.

Miss Flea: The teacher at Junkyard Junction Elementary. Her students attend her classes inside the school house built with crayons. .

Episode SynopsisEpisode Synopsis Pilot - “Squirt’s New Home”

– Squirt and his home are unexpectedly swept away and relocated to an unfamiliar place called Junkyard Junction. Once there, he and his new friends work together to turn his tomato can house into a helicopter and then fly his home to a safe location.

Episode 2 - “While the Sisters Sleep” – What Flip and Flop do while Betty and Belinda are sleeping. Raid the fridge, pig out

on junk food, trash the house, sneak outside and play pranks on the neighbors, play games, take a bubble bath, watch movies. It looks like their fun is about to end when Betty shows up but Betty is actually sleepwalking. When Betty wakes up, she thinks she is the one that made the mess.

Episode 3 - “Fish Bait” – Fluffy and Junkyard Dog’s plan to capture Squirt and Hugo backfires when Fluffy is

caught in his own trap. A turn of events takes place when Squirt and Hugo use a bee hive to fight off their would be captors. In the end, Junkyard Dog befriends Squirt and Hugo after they help him out of sticky situation.

Episode 4 - “Blazing Basketballs” – Unable to resist the urge to bounce his basketball inside the house, Rowdy’s ball ricochets out his

bedroom window and destroys everything in it’s path. Feeling guilty, but unwilling to admit responsibility, Rowdy goes around town to help repair the damage. The next day, Rowdy takes his ball to school for show and tell, at which time, he confesses his mistake. To his surprise, everyone already knew it was him because his name was written on the basketball.

Episode 5 - “Rowdy Recycles” – Squirt, Sassy, and Hugo teach Rowdy the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling while cleaning

his messy bedroom in order to find his lost turtle Francis. Losing Francis causes Rowdy to realize that a turtle belongs in a pond instead of a boy's bedroom so he decides to set her free. In the end, even though Rowdy is sad to say goodbye to his friend, he finds comfort in knowing that he made a cleaner world for his turtle to live in by recycling.

Episode 6 - “Cooking Class”– Betty and Belinda have Bug record an episode of their cooking show. All sorts of things go wrong. A

cake explodes in the oven, Betty drops things on the floor and adds them to the batter, mistakes are made to the recipe etc. In the end, they invite their friends over to taste all of their crazy creations.

Episode 7 - “Ground Hog Days” – A sinking house leads Squirt, Hugo, Sassy, and Stanley to discover a secret tunnel. They go inside to

investigate but become frightened when a set of eyes appear in the darkness. They try to turn back but the entrance collapses forcing them to complete their journey. The tunnel ends abruptly at a wall of spaghetti and meatballs. They eat their way through the wall to find the home of Chuckie the ground hog who agrees to be more careful about where he digs his tunnels.

Episode 8 - “Peanut Butter Cookie Time” – The smell of freshly baked peanut butter cookies wafting through the air entices Squirt, Hugo, Bug, and

Sassy to devise a plan to sneak into the big red house to get a taste. Their plan is interrupted by the early return of the homeowners causing the group of friends to scramble out quickly and safely with cookies in hand.

Episode 9 - “Movie Madness” – Sassy invites her friends to her house to watch one of her movies in her garden. Bug and Stanley tear

the movie screen by accident. Squirt and Hugo decide to get a handkerchief from the clothesline at the big red house. Hugo has to overcome his fear of heights and walks the clothesline like a tightrope in the circus. . Fluffy sees Hugo and Squirt on the clothesline and decides to go after them. Just as Fluffy is about to pounce on his prey, Hugo and Squirt use the handkerchief to parachute to safety.

Episode 10 - “Hotel Hugo” – Hugo turns his house into a hotel. Sassy is his first guest. As a celebrity, she is very

demanding and Hugo does everything he can to please her. In the end, Hugo becomes tired of Sassy’s demands and tosses her out of his hotel.

Episode 11 - “Bee Benefits” – Rowdy gets stung by a bee and vows to hate them forever. Hugo teaches Rowdy

how essential Bees are to everyone who lives on our planet. Being unable to resist delicious honey is what finally convinces Rowdy to forgive the Bee that stung him.

Episode 12 - “Bug’s Life” – Showcases Bug’s relationship and obsession with Sassy. Bug does everything he

can to please Sassy and Sassy takes advantage of his friendship. Bug becomes resentful of Sassy and starts to ignore her which makes Sassy realize what a good friend she has. The roles are reversed until Sassy wins back Bug’s devotion.

Episode SynopsisEpisode Synopsis Episode 13 - “The Dessert Diet”

– Stanley vows to never eat vegetables again, converting to a diet which includes only desserts. His unhealthy appetite leads to poor hygiene, health, and energy levels effecting his image and productivity at work.

Episode 14 - “Birthday Bash” – Squirt receives an invitation to his very first birthday party. Everyone is invited to

Betty and Belinda’s house for the best birthday bash ever. The party is a huge smash until it comes time to open the birthday presents. Everyone is baffled when the birthday person doesn’t step forward to open their gifts. Betty and Belinda announce it is nobody’s birthday, just wanted to have everyone over for a party. Everyone has a good laugh and gets to open a gift.

Episode 15 - “Join the Club” – Sassy is accepting applications for membership to her new club. When all of her

friends membership requests are rejected, they all ban together and build their own club which is even better than Sassy’s. Sassy sees the error of her ways while watching all of her friends have so much fun. Her friends surprise Sassy in the end by building a bridge between the clubhouses to form one big one.

Episode SynopsisEpisode Synopsis Episode 16 - “Lurking in the Dark’

– Hugo is afraid of the dark but thinks he is too old to sleep with a night light and tries to go one full night without it. His imagination runs wild throughout the night but he also sees the good things about nighttime such as stars, the moon, dreaming, midnight snacks, reading under the bed covers, and nocturnal animals. He eventually falls asleep and wakes up the next morning realizing he achieved his goal.

Episode 17 - “Make Me Laugh” – Sassy wakes up in a very bad mood so her friends perform outrageous acts to make her laugh

but to no success. In the end, Stanley surprises everyone by pulling a feather out of his tool belt and uses it to tickle Sassy to tears.

Episode 18 - “Be Good” – Rowdy decides to stop practicing good hygiene. He quits taking a bath, brushing his teeth,

cleaning his room, doing dishes, and making his bed. As the days go by, he gets swarmed with flies, his friends don’t want to play with him, and he can’t find anything in his messy house. He gets an F on his homework for turning it in with a grilled cheese sandwich stuck to it. In the end he sees how important good hygiene is.

Episode SynopsisEpisode Synopsis Episode 19 - “To the Finish”

– Bug broadcasts a box car race between Squirt, Hugo, Rowdy, and Sassy. Stanley is the pitman. Rowdy, Squirt, and Hugo have supped up Bigfoot style monster box cars while Sassy has a smaller feminine model. The competition is tough between the boys because none of them view Sassy as being serious competition. Sassy surprises them all by winning the race.

Episode 20 - “Pretend Pirates” – To be pirates, Sassy takes over Rowdy’s rubber ducky and holds Rowdy captive.

Rowdy puts a “help me” letter in a bottle and throws it into the swamp. Squirt and Hugo find the letter and devise a plan to rescue Rowdy but Squirt gets captured in the process. Hugo is left to overcome his fears and insecurities to become the hero in the end.

Episode 21 - “Picture Perfect” – Hugo gets frustrated because everyone seems to do everything better than he does.

He eventually realizes that it’s not important to be perfect as long as you are trying to do the best you can.

Episode SynopsisEpisode Synopsis Episode 22 - “Stanley is Handy”

– Stanley has an idea for an invention. He gives Squirt, Hugo, Rowdy, and Sassy a list of strange items he needs to build it. The friends pair up and embark on a scavenger hunt to find the items. In the end, Stanley builds a contraption for everyone to share and have fun with.

Episode 23 - “First Day of School” – Squirt wakes up dreading the first day of school. He tries to come up with a good

excuse to not go. He eventually accepts the fact that he has to go to school and realizes that if he doesn’t go to school, he will also miss out on the things he enjoys about school such as his friends, sports, and recess.

Episode 24 - “Silly Circus” – Squirt, Hugo, and Stanley put on a circus. Sassy gets stuck in cotton candy and

balloons lift her up to the ceiling where she becomes stuck. Clumsy clowns build a tower up to Sassy so the littlest clown can giver her a kiss. A ferocious lion is too sleepy to scare everyone. Hugo on the flying trapeze becomes stuck to Sassy and pulls the tent down. Everyone runs to safety and declare this the silliest circus they have ever seen.

Episode 25 - “Fluffy Trap” – Sassy, Squirt, Bug, and Hugo devise a plan to trap Fluffy so Sassy

can use him as a ferocious lion in one of her movies.

Episode 26 - “Playmates” – After losing a game of checkers, Hugo vows to never play with

Squirt again, leaving Squirt to find a new playmate. He tries to play with Bug and Sassy who ask him to play a monster in one of their movies. Squirt is trapped by Sassy and forced to be wheeled around Junkyard Junction dressed up like a baby. Squirt escapes the embarrassment and seeks fun times with Betty and Belinda who trick him into thinking he will be enjoying a pie buffet, but instead, he is bombarded with pies. Squirt and Hugo make up and Hugo finally wins a game of checkers.
