Daily Posture Tips• Feet awareness• Crossing legs• Wrapping legs • Hip hanging• W sitting• Party tricks• Locking knees• Over stretching

• An upright, relaxed balanced posture = muscle tone and conditioning• Need our deep, stabilising muscles to work especially around pelvis and feet• A relaxed posture does not mean the muscles let go and the body collapses. It’s the opposite:

• Being relaxed means the brain has figured out what is needed to maintain alignment with less energy = more endurance and less strain

• It can also be a great way to release muscular and emotional tension from the body – which when held for a long time is very tiring

What can we do to help pain relief?

• Proprioception• Co-ordination• Range of movement• Stability• Improve muscle tone• Improve motor control• Increase health of our tissues• Breathing and Relaxation

• We do need to exercise even when we are feeling tired.• Little and often is key to success • If we improve muscle tone through movement, we will be less tired and in less pain• Do things you love and have fun!

Let’s practice together

• Exercise to learn to recognise holding patterns• Learn to release holding patterns• Recognise breathing patterns• Learn a technique that can bring instant relief to an anxious body and

mind• Easy to do – no equipment• Sit or lie down• Get comfy and warm
