2016 Junior Golf Program
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the Junior Golf Program. This year is filled with
many exciting instructional programs and events. Our staff
has updated the schedule to include all juniors from the age of
6 to 17. The highlights for this year include: four day camps,
weekday and weekend junior clinics, the Chapel Hill Junior
Golf Academy (CHJGA), PGA Junior League Golf, Junior
Club Championship, and our personal coaching instructional
package.
The Chapel Hill Golf Professional Staff takes great pride in
the quality of its Junior Golf Program. Our goal is to
introduce the game to juniors who have not played before,
build upon the knowledge of the juniors that have played
before, and make the game of golf enjoyable to our junior
golfers so that they can get a lifetime of enjoyment out of the
game and if interested compete at the highest levels of the
game.
We look forward to a summer filled with great camaraderie
and building memories that will last a lifetime.

Chapel Hill Junior Golf Academy (CHJGA)
Powered by iGrow Golf and Operation 36 curriculum
(igrowgolf.com)
Parent information meetings will be hosted to introduce the
program to Chapel Hill Country Club. Meetings will be held
at 5:00pm each Wednesday in May.
The Operation 36 Core is a standardized curriculum that the
juniors will progress through each week in the academy class or
camps. The core curriculum is split up into 6 Ranks or Levels. In
each of the 6 Ranks there are 12 Badges the juniors must earn by
completing a variety of challenges. These 12 Badges are similar to
our school subjects, but are better because it is golf! The 12
Badges cover all areas of the game including; golf knowledge,
technical skills, mental skills, performance benchmarks, golf
fitness, nutrition, and more! Once the junior earns all 12 badges in
their rank, they progress to the next level or “rank up” and are
given 12 new challenges. Each level the challenges get more
complex and to complete Operation 36 the juniors must complete
all 72 challenges and ultimately shoot 36 or better for 9 holes from
their age appropriate tee box!
