    Sal is a severely handicapped man who cameto The Relie Bus because he needed somehygiene items. He was really happy to get a netoothbrush, toothpase and other toiletries. Salwalks very slowly using a walker, but moves allover the city and even volunteers in soup kitch

    The Relie Bus is the ultimate mobileresource center and soup kitchen.

    As I walked through Port Authority one day in New York Cencountered a homeless man I thought was sleeping. As Ithis photo I saw that there was a pool o blood under his hI immediately ran through the bus station to get help.

    A policeman ran back and got him medical care. So manyhomeless are invisible people in our society, quietly allingthrough the cracks until someone notices and helps.

    incarcerated many times ater thaHe is now going to 12-step recovemeetings and getting therapy. Heis trying to walk the straight andnarrow. He comes to the bus everweek or ood.
