June 11, 2019 – Beta Kappa Picnic with Omega - Apple Museum Pavilion
Joseph ‘Jake’ Jacobs, high-school health and physical education instructor and adjunct college professor
Dr. Jake’s focus will be on personal fitness. He believes your coffee break should improve your health. Of
course, he believes that later in the day, you should get physical. He will demonstrate personalized programs
for individual fitness assessments and safety checks of your workout program, equipment, and space. He be-
lieves that some type of exercise daily for 10 to 20 minutes, along with a 10-30 minute walk is a must to alle-
viate the stiffness and soreness that comes with aging. Adding weights and moving your arms, back, and legs
with motions could delay the need for a cane.
