EVENT CODE: NE1 / FEE: NO CHARGE

TENNLI NELSON
Tennli Nelson is the Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Solution Reach. Her position provides her the opportunity to travel across the country, engaging with dental practitioners and companies, to understand the ongoing patient engagement needs and pain points. Over the last 12 years, she has been an integral part of developing a communication platform that helps bridge the gap between the practice and the patient, introducing technology and behavior change that provides immediate solutions.
SYNOPSIS: When patients quit coming back to a practice, it is often for different reasons than providers assume. Doctors recently surveyed said 80 percent of patients who do not return had either moved or changed to an insurance plan the practice doesn’t accept – but only 38 percent of patients who changed doctors cited those reasons. Conversely, the survey found doctors believe only 22 percent of patients switch for better treatment or service. In reality, 58 percent of patients cited that exact reason for switching. The bottom line: if you’re not connecting with patients and actively engaging with them, you’re going to have a harder time keeping your current patients – or attracting new ones. However, connecting with patients isn’t just about sending email blasts or calling them with appointment reminders. It’s about truly engaging them in a meaningful way that elevates their care. Explore tactics on how providers faced with limited time and resources can offer ongoing, relevant and actionable communication to every patient.

TENNLI NELSON
See Bio on Page 4
SYNOPSIS: Dental offices are busy. Fortunately, there are ways to create a connection beyond the operatory room. Technology is a big piece of the solution. According to results from a recent Surescripts survey, patients look favorably on practices that use technology, believing that doctors who use technology are:
• 70% more organized and efficient
• 40% more innovative
• 33% more competent
This is because technology has universally become part of the human daily experience and not in a bad way. Because digital communication is so pervasive, contact that would once have been few and far between can now be more frequent. In other words, when used correctly, technology is actually enhancing human relationships, not replacing it. The key is to integrate the right technology, in the right way, into a practice.
