DEAR FELLOW RICHMOND SPIDER:I look forward to seeing you for Reunion Weekend, June 2–4. Reunion 2017 will honor undergraduate alumni in class years ending in 2 or 7, though all alumni are invited back! Mark your calendar. Make your travel plans. Register now.

There will be events honoring all classes celebrating reunion and special gatherings for the Class of 1967 (the 50th reunion class) and the Class of 1992 (the 25th reunion class).

Other highlights of the weekend include:• “Raising our Voices in Song: Music and the Movement”

Whether this is your first visit to campus in 50 years or you were on campus last week, you will find there are interesting and exciting programs, and most important, many opportu-nities to catch up with your Spider classmates and friends.

To register for Reunion Weekend, use the enclosed registra-tion form; call (800) 480-4774, ext. 8; or register online at reunion.richmond.edu by Friday, May 19. Also, be sure to note the weekend housing information and make your reser-vations early.

Don’t forget to make the Jepson Alumni Center, #49 on the campus map, your first stop when you arrive on campus. The building will serve as the information center for the weekend where you will pick up your Welcome Packet, which includes registration materials. WEINSTEIN CENTER FOR RECREATION AND WELLNESSGet in your workout during Reunion Weekend. For reunion celebrants who want to hit the gym during Reunion Weekend, you can use your reunion nametag as a FREE guest pass. Enjoy swimming, weightlifting, jogging on the indoor track, or taking a break in the sauna at the Weinstein Center. A parent or guardian must accompany and supervise children under 16 years of age at all times. All visitors will be asked to sign a waiver before using the facility. For general facility policies and hours, visit the Recreation and Wellness website at recreation.richmond.edu.

REUNION HOUSING

Stay on campus — reservations must be received by Friday, May 19.Housing in the residence halls is much the way you remember it (single bed[s], desk, chair, bureau, closet, and shared bath). We will provide bath towels, pillows, and linens.

Please bring extra blankets, your cell phone, mirror, and a robe (remember, shared bathrooms in the residence halls!). For safety and security, names must be provided of everyone staying with you in the rooms you reserve.$45 per bed/per night (available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights)

Please note: We will make every effort to house classmates near each other. However, if a class area is filled, we may have to place some classmates on other floors or residence halls. As a result, we will assign rooms and residence halls after May 19.

Also note:• Most available accommodations will be

suites. If you have classmates who you’d like to share a suite with, please make note of their names on your registration form.

• Residence halls can be noisy. If you’d prefer to stay in a quiet residence hall, please indicate that preference on your registration form.

Stay off campusThe Westin Richmond has been designated as the official “Alumni Hotel.” There will be shuttle service from the hotel to campus on both Friday and Saturday. To receive the special rate, reservations should be made by Friday, May 19.

Please indicate which programs you plan to attend and the total number of tickets you are purchasing. All tickets will be available for pickup at the Jepson Alumni Center from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Reunion Weekend Costs

Putting on a weekend of events for hundreds of alumni and guests is an enormous and expensive undertaking. The individual event prices help to offset the costs for food, beverages, entertainment, etc. We strive to keep the fees low so as many people as possible can enjoy their Reunion Weekend of fun, renewed friendships, and celebration of the University of Richmond experience.

Reunion Weekend Photography and Videography

Videos and photographs taken during Reunion Weekend will be used in University publications and on the website. If you do not wish to be included in videos or photographs, please alert the photographer and/or videographer.

Registration is Important

In order to attend reunion activities, you must complete a registration form and return it to the Office of Alumni and Career Services no later than Friday, May 19! Caterers, transportation services, and others require head counts. If you do not preregister, there is a chance there will not be room for you at the events you wish to attend.
