Catbone Slim is an acoustic trio from Portland Oregon deftly nav-igating the boundaries between bluegrass, country, and classic Americana folk. Featuring guitar, banjo, dobro, bass, and mesmer-izing three part harmonies.

Clackamas County Social Services seeks resident input on older adult servicesClackamas County Social Services offers a range of services for seniors and people with disabilities to support independence and quality of life. Its services include transporta-tion, in-home care, information and resource referral, energy assistance, family caregiver support, and much more. It also supports community partners, including the Wilson-ville Community Center, in delivering pro-gramming, such as meals and physical activity classes, to area seniors.

Every four years Clackamas County Social Services develops a plan to guide its priorities and work. Before it creates its next plan, So-cial Services wants to learn more about what is important to Clackamas County residents and what each community needs most.

Social Services is asking county residents to complete an online Community Needs Assessment survey to share their experienc-es and opinions about current services and potential needs. Please access the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/B6QTBJV.

Social Services staff and the Aging Services Advisory Council will use the results of this survey to decide what types of programs to offer for seniors and people with disabilities through 2024.

For more information about the survey, con-tact Jennifer Much Grund at [email protected] or 503-655-8794. To access Clackamas County Social Services programs and services, contact the Clackamas County Aging and Disability Resource Connection at 503-650-5622.

You don’t need a lot of space to provide fruits and vegetables for yourself and your family. You just need to know how to maximize the space you have, and what plants will need the smallest amount of room while supplying the maximum yield. Whether it is a group of containers, or a 4 x 4 foot garden area, this will offer practical suggestions to keep the table full.

Our presenter, Kris LaMar, has been a Master Gardener (and Master Recycler) since 2013. Much of her volunteer time involves answering horticultural questions for “Ask an Expert”, and running the Clackamas County Master Gardener Speaker’s Guild. Prior to retirement, she was an attorney and circuit court judge.

7/19 The story of Mt. Hood’s Steiner Cabins

This talk will focus on what we currently know about gray wolves in central and western Oregon; the status of OR-7 (the wolf called Journey) and the Rogue Pack in SW Oregon, new groups of wolves in the Oregon Cascades and elsewhere, some fascinating information on the long-distance movements of lone dispersing wolves, and what we are doing to deter wolves from attacking livestock. Mr. Stephenson is the lead Wolf Biolo-gist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Oregon. His duties include monitoring wolf activity, capture and collaring work,

and working with livestock producers to im-plement deterrence measures to minimize livestock attacks.Contact Susie Jenkins [email protected]
