1,000 Books Before Kindergarten - A preschool reading adventure. Ask for details. Summer Reading Program June 3th– August 3th. “It’s Showtime at Your Library!” Patrons age 2—18; Make reading a part of your summer, and receive prizes along the way. Pre-school story hour Fridays at 10:30 am. Stories and activities for kids and the adults who care for them. School age siblings are welcome . (*Some special events during this time. See calendar.) Behind the Scenes with Larry Yazzie: A Dance and Performance Workshop~ Wed. June 5th 2:00-4:00 p.m. ~ Award winning fancy dancer, and film actor Larry Yazzie, will demonstrate dance techniques and movements, and share tips on how he prepares to perform. Ages 8-18, pre-register to guarantee space. At 7:00 p.m. there will be a public performance at the Century Middle School gym featuring workshop participants. “It’s Showtime For the Animals! “ ~ Tues. June 11th 10:00-11:00 -Bright colors, crazy dancing, loud sounds, and more -

it ‘s "showtime" for our Minnesota animals! Join a park naturalist from Itasca State Park and explore how and why these

wild animals are putting on a show!

June 21st 10:30 a.m. - Rock ‘n’ Roll family fun (Funded by the Legacy Amendment.) Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theatre Workshop ~ Mon. July 15th 4:00-5:00~ At PRAHS Auditorium. Ages 8-18, pre-register to guarantee space. At 7:00 p.m. there will be a public performance featuring workshop participants. James Wedgwood ~Thurs. July 25th 10:30 at Pioneer Park ~ Celebrate Crazy Days in Park Rapids with a comedy show for the entire family presented by ventriloquist/comedian James Wedgwood. Robert the Magician~ Wed. July 31st 1:30 p.m.~The “It’s Showtime!” Magic Show The Duelling Dames “Intro to Sword” Workshop~Fri. August 9th 10 :00a.m. –12:00 p.m. ~Intro to swordplay, and stage combat for actors. 2:00 –3:00 p.m. Duelling Dames Swordfighting Show: “The Dames teach history with hilarity, astound with swordfighting skills, and are daring enough to bring audience members onstage.” (at Heartland Park)
