Sandra’s oldest daughter graduated from high school with honors on May 24th and has received the Ruby Dean Henderson Memorial Scholarship for $24,000. Her daughter will be attending U. T. Tyler with a goal of becoming a nurse.

Sandra began attending CWJC in 2013 as an ESL student and has attended regularly since

that time. In the fall of 2017, she began to work on High School Equivalency through the

Aztec computer program while continuing in one ESL class. Sandra continued this plan of

study until the middle of March, when she decided to try our basic life & job preparation

classes. In the afternoons Sandra took computer classes. She also participated in job

shadowing. Next fall Sandra wants to continue with her studies through Aztec and plans

to be part of an advanced ESL class (which will be a new class for us) to do further work on

her oral reading and grammar.

PRAISE THE LORD!

Our auction raised about $20,000. The annual

auction is one of our biggest fundraisers and these funds account for about 1/4 of our annual budget. Thank you to those who

helped with meals during our classes and to our amazing teachers and

volunteers. We have been honored with

a special foundational donation, of $20,000. Our board has set a goal of soliciting funds to match this donation dollar for dollar. Please prayerfully consider investing in the lives of women through CWJC.

Continue to pray for

George and Linda Jaeger as they struggle with health issues.

THANK YOU !
