Introduction

T-shirt printers are a constant at any digital printing expo, no matter how big or small the trade show there are always many t-shirt printers in exhibition. Some of the t-shirt printers in exhibition use pigment, dye sublimation or UV inks and others use toner. UV inks and pigment are for direct-to-fabric printing, and toner and dye sublimation are for printing onto transfer paper.

You can also decorate t-shirt printers by using heat transfer vinyls, which you just cut and then heat press them onto the t-shirt.

This report compiles all the t-shirt printers and heat presses we saw at APPPEXPO Shanghai 2018.

Brother GTX

The latest addition to the Brother t-shirt printer family is the GTX series of printers.

GTX printers use waterbased inks: white plus CMYK, this allows you to print onto both light and dark t-shirts, as well as other objects such as shoes, over seams, across zippers and on top of pockets. This due to the fact that there is a large gap between the printhead and the substrate.

Cloly

Cloly is a Chinese manufacturing company based in Shanghai and it is a subdivision of ZhengZhou New Century Digital Technol-ogy CO. LTD (a textile printer manufacturer with over two decades of experience in the textile market for wide-format printers.

Cloly P400 comes with one platten and uses CMYK plus white pigment inks for direct-to-garmet printing.

Cloly P2000 is more sophisticated than the P 400, it comes with two platens, and uses CMYK plus white and you can also add red and blue ink channels.

This t-shirt printer is designed to print onto cotton and cotton blends.

Deruisen

Deruisen t-shirt printer was exhibited in the booth of Xunlong Technology. Deruisen was known for making CNC routers and now is entering the t-shirt market with a large multi-platen UV ink printer.

GNT Inkjet and MEDIA Co.,LTD is the manu-facturer for Deruisen printers.

Epson

Epson SureColor F2000 is the latest t-shirt printer from Epson, it comes with one platen for t-shirts, and uses UltraCh-rome DG CMYK ink colors.

The SureColor F2000 is intended for printing directly onto t-shirts made of 100% cotton or cellulose fiber garments.

Hongyang Digital TD-TX4080

Zhengzhou Hongyang Digital Technology Co., Ltd is the official name for the manu-facturer of TODO t-shirt printers.

The TD-TX4080 uses pigment ink in CMYK plus white for printing onto T-shirt, cloth, cotton fabric, scrim, etc.

Huafei T6W

Is a modified Epson 10060 printer with six t-shirt platens.

This printer uses Dupont Artistri P5000 pigment inks in CMYK plus white colors and can print onto cotton, polyester, lin-en, silk, wool, Lycra, viscose, cotton/poly-ester blends.

Huafei TX-T3W

This printer uses an Epson 4910 modified chassis with TFP print-heads with CMYK plus white Dupont Artistri pigment inks.

Huafei F6000

Another one platen (A2) t-shirt printer also for pigment CMYK color inks plus white. You can print onto dark garments by using pre-treatment before doing the coat of white and them colors.

Mutoh Valuejet 405GT

Just like many of the other t-shirt printers on this list, the Mutoh ValueJet 405GT t-shirt printer comes with an ink re-circulating sys-tem to avoid white ink from depositing at the bottom.

The official company name for the printer manufacturer of Nocai printers is Guangzhou Nuocai Digital Products Co., Ltd.

This t-shirt printer has two platens and uses UV-curable inks in CMYK, light ma-genta, light cyan and white colors.

Nanjing Printpretty Digital Technol-ogy Co., Ltd. has been on the textile market many years, they specialize in wide-format equipment and have many textile models. At this year’s APPexpo they exhibited at mid-sized double platen textile printer with CMYK plus white inks.

Tankin Technology

Tankin Technology is located in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province.

This year they exhibited two t-shirt printers, both with a flatbed surface so multiple t-shirts or other textiles can be printed simultaneously.
