It has been so rewarding to see everyone enjoying the new Clubhouse as we all get settled into your new, beautiful home. I want to recognize the outstanding efforts performed by your Clubhouse team over the past two months. From stocking approximately 78,000 square feet with china and other supplies, and serving our last meals in The Pavilion, to opening the Clubhouse the next day. I could not have been more proud of their teamwork.

I offer special thanks to the entire food and beverage team led by executive chef Michael Crain and director of food and beverage, Mike Reilly, as their preparation, organization, and leadership inspired their teams as they tackled the challenge. Although I cannot recognize every employee who went above and beyond by name, I must publicly thank Charlie Gramenz, our director of facilities maintenance and Deborah Ross, our director of project management, as they were instrumental with the final permitting, coordination, and punch list administration.

I would like to wish our international staff the best of luck as they either head north to work for the summer, or return home to see their families. Based upon your feedback, I think it is safe to say that this year’s team was the best we’ve ever had, and we look forward to many of them returning next fall.

As for the Club’s operations during the first month of service, it is clear that we still have work to do. Besides working through the extensive punch list and getting everything organized – now that we have a better idea how the facility operates – it is time to begin the daunting task of fine-tuning our service, and making sure everything is up to the high standards we have set for our team and the high expectations of our members. Please know that the team is focused on the many details that need improvement. I hope you also understand that it will take us a year to truly understand how our new facility operates, and how you will utilize the new amenities next season.

Our focus now is on the completion of The Esplanade, tennis center, and aquatics complex. If you think the Clubhouse has drastically improved with the new design, just wait until you see the next phase! Watch your email for details.

a MessaGe froM the boarD of DirectorsDear Fellow Members and Neighbors,

The spectacular opening of our fabulous new Club on Monday, April 18, 2016, was a red-letter day in the history of Mirasol. Since then, the reaction to the opening has been nothing short of magical,

with members and guests exclaiming every conceivable superlative! Words and phrases like “tremendous,” “beautiful,” “you’ve hit it out of the park,” “could not dream it could be so wonderful,” and the “best country club in the area” are just a few of the many praises being sung repeatedly and universally by our membership. This opening marks a truly fitting end to the first phase of executing our strategic plan envisioned by your Board several years ago, and made possible with the help of the Strategic Planning Committee, the Construction Committee, and many, many members.

The other aspect of the Club opening that members have complete agreement on is the tremendous dedication and almost superhuman effort of our management and staff, led brilliantly by Matt Lambert, our general manager and COO, to not only shepherd us through the transition of the last several months, but also change the level of service commensurate with our new architectural expansion and its beauty. At the all-team meeting conducted by Matt prior to opening our new facilities, I had the privilege of expressing our thanks to the staff on behalf of the Board and fellow members. As much as we admire and are proud of our new structural splendor, it is our staff that makes our new club experiences the very best in our area. Their hard work, sacrifice, and desire to please have not gone unnoticed, and members suggested and contributed willingly to a special, one-time, voluntary fund to reward their excellence in service to us.

With members savoring their new, unparalleled Solstice fine dining experience and their popular and beloved Grille Room, or reveling in the pleasures of their expansive card rooms, your Board and management are now focusing on the completion of the second phase that includes an unimaginably beautiful Esplanade building and tennis building, which is scheduled for completion at the end of August, and the pool complex, currently scheduled to open at the end of September. A grand opening celebration weekend is being planned for Friday-Sunday, November 11-13, to coincide with our 13th anniversary.

In April, three new Board members, Larry Goldstein, Don Hawk, and Jon Peisinger, were elected and welcomed, and the annual activity to staff our many committees is now underway. Committees are an excellent way for members to get involved with Club activities and contribute their expertise in a variety of fields. Please consider submitting your name to join more than 100 members working to make our Club the best it can be.

This summer, and through next season, management will attempt to gauge the usage patterns of amenities offered with our expanded facilities and our more efficient layout and design. Your patience is requested as they determine their optimum utilization for operating cost and enjoyment.

Assimilation of member input to the proposals made by the Golf Course Planning Committee will be a key activity this summer before a final recommendation is made and membership approval is sought through a vote later this year. Revisions to our bylaws, to make them consistent with our HOA status and provide additional operational flexibility, will also require member approval. Our goal will be to conduct both votes at the same time.

Our Board wishes you the best for a wonderful summer in our new facilities, or wherever your travels may take you.

coMMunity service clubThe Community Service Club (CSC) has been functioning and growing at full speed for the past 18 months! All members are invited

to become MiraSouls (CSC members) to participate in Palm Beach County community events to help those less fortunate.

MiraSouls from the CSC have painted a house (Habitat for Humanity), implemented a food drive (Food Bank), collected toys

and gift cards during the holidays (Palm Beach Gardens Police and Fire), and recently concluded a clothing drive and clothing

distribution (Revival Community Outreach Ministries). Twenty MiraSouls volunteered their time to sort clothing donations from over

150 residents for the April clothing drive, and the next day distributed the clothes at the Revival Community Outreach Ministries’

site in Riviera Beach (see photos from the clothing drive below).

The CSC is presently working with Take Stock in Children to provide mentors to local students. There will be some limited opportunities in

the summer, and a volunteer workshop is being planned for the fall where you can learn more about the CSC. If you have questions or

Our other sessions are scheduled for July 11-15 and August 8-12. During the camps, juniors will learn about course etiquette, safety, and the fundamentals of the game, while having a great opportunity to make a few friends along the way. Registration is open for another summer of fun in your backyard!

Kids ages 4-12 are invited to join us for a half-day or full day of

fun and excitement.

Activities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. will include our traditional morning

of tennis, active games, and swimming, followed by lunch.

Afternoons from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. will include fun games, activities, crafts, and

our Kids’ Fit program taught by a fitness instructor and/or more tennis time.

Half Day: $40* for members and $45 for guests.

Full Day: $65* for members and $75 for guests.

* Prices are per camper, per day and do not include applicable sales tax.

Registrants will receive a special Camp Mirasol T-shirt.

arc reMinDersNow that the summer months are upon us, here are some reminders from the

Architectural Review Committee:

STORAGE OF BOATS, TRAILERS, AND RECREATIONAL VEHICLES (JET SKIS, MOTORBIKES, etc.)Boats, trailers, or RVs shall not be parked in the roadway even when they are only

in front of your residence for a short period of time. Their size tends to hinder safe

traffic flow through the community. Per the Architectural Standards Manual, these

items must be stored out of sight, inside the garage, or outside of Mirasol. These

items cannot be stored outside a house on any property at any time.

HURRICANE SHUTTERSHurricane season begins June 1 and extends through November 30. Installation of

exterior, surface-mounted hurricane shutters or the replacement of the existing doors

and windows with impact glass constitutes an “exterior change” to the house and

requires ARC approval. Temporary storm shutters are permitted but should not be

installed more than ten (10) days before hurricane warnings for the City are issued.

The temporary storm shutters shall be removed either: (1) within 10 calendar days

after hurricane warnings for the City are lifted; or (2) if damage is incurred, the latter

of; (a) 15 days after a hurricane hits the project area; or (b) immediately after hurricane

damage repairs have been made to the structure.

Storm shutters are for storm protection only and are not for “security” purposes.

Please do not close your accordion shutters unless it is within the allowed time

of a hurricane warning.

PERMANENT BACKUP GENERATORSThe installation of permanent backup generators requires ARC approval prior to

installation. Per the Architectural Standards Manual, backup generators shall be

permitted to be installed on a property where they meet all of the City ordinances

and building codes, as well as the requirements as stated in the ARC Manual.

attention Golf cart oPeratorsAs a reminder, golf cart operators must come to a complete stop at the stop signs located at the village intersections. Failing to

stop is very dangerous and your cart will provide no protection for you in the event of an accident. Patrols will issue citations

for carts not adhering to the stop signs. We also ask that you remain mindful that standard carts are only intended to carry two

people. In order to maintain safety for you and your passenger, you are discouraged from overloading your cart with additional

riders. Finally, we implore you to pass pedestrians and other carts on the sidewalks with extreme caution. Minding these important

guidelines will ensure your well-being and that of your guests and neighbors.

depiction of early manicures and pedicures was found on a carving from a pharaoh’s tomb,

and the Egyptians were known for paying special attention to their feet and legs.

We often neglect our feet, which can result in dry skin, cracked heels, unsightly

toenails, and embarrassment when we need to remove our shoes. Pedicures

can remedy all these issues quickly and easily.

Your nail technician will scrub and exfoliate your feet to help
