A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 2
The Annual Golf Tournament Com-mittee is hosting a "Scramblin' on the Green" Golf Tournament Sponsor Luncheon at Heron Creek Golf & Country Club, located at 5301 Heron Creek Boulevard in North Port, on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm. The Luncheon is design to inform interested businesses and in-dividuals on the type of sponsorships that are available for the upcoming Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sep-tember 12, 2015. The Chamber will showcase the type of marketing ef-forts that were conducted for last year's Golf Tournament and how the sponsors were promoted to the Chamber membership and the com-munity. Last Year's sponsors are in-vited to the Luncheon as Chamber Guest. Interested business & indi-viduals that were not sponsors for last year's Golf Tournament are in-vited to attend the Luncheon at a cost of $15.00 per person, which in-cludes lunch and beverages. Immedi-ately following the Luncheon, partici-pants are invited to participate in a special golf outing at Heron Creek Golf & Country Club for a discounted
rate of $25.00 per person. Please contact the Chamber office by Thurs-day, June 4, 2105 if you plan to attend the Luncheon and play in
the golf outing.

The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce will hold the Annual Meeting & State of the City Address Luncheon on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at Heron Creek Golf & Country Club. This year, the Chamber has added an additional twist to the event. The Chamber will be introducing a new program that will be conducted on an annual basis called the "Business Advocate" Hall of Fame. This pro-gram is designed to recognize and honor an individual that has dedi-cated their time and efforts in sup-port of the Business Community. The recipient's name will be included on a plaque that will be displayed at the Chamber office and will receive a recognition award at the Luncheon. This year, we are honored to an-nounce that the inaugural inductee to the "Business Advocate" Hall of Fame is Gene Matthews. North Port City Manager Jonathan Lewis will provide the State of the City Address Report. The Chamber will present their Annual Report, an-nounce the annual “Big Bird” award and introduce the 2015-2016 Cham-ber Board of Directors.
