Section Hours There has been a lot of talk on the section and across the branch about how tight everyone is for hours. Unfortunately, the business is not where we would like to be with regards to profit and sales, and as such each branch has been asked to claw back some money through hours. This situation is not going to change in the near future so we all need to work as productively and efficiently as possible to really help each other and the section maintain the high standards we always strive to achieve. Food Service is expected to use a total of 610.5 hours each week, this figure includes any sickness, holiday, or bank holiday time that partners have.

As a section we are contracted to 611 hours, which is slightly over our target. This is the reason that Overtime has been cut back so dramatically, and in some instances, even if it would be more beneficial to have an extra partner, we have had to do without. It is important for everyone to work as a team and support each counter during busy times. All of your efforts and team work is greatly appreciated and recognised. If you would like more detail about hours, then please come and see Amanda.

Have you completed Overtime on another

Section?

If the answer is YES, then please write your hours, the date, and which section the overtime was completed on, at the bottom of the counter day plans (next to Meat and Fish). If this is not done, then you risk not being paid correctly.
