A Word From Our LeaderDear Patients,

As another school year approaches its end and the warmer weather has FINALLY arrived, life has been busy!

We enjoyed recently traveling to just outside of Boston to visit with one of my sisters and her family over the long Memorial Day weekend. Our kids had a blast spending time with their cousins hiking, canoeing, and cooking s’mores over the campfire! It was very refreshing to get away and spend some quality time with the family.

Inside this issue, you’ll find suggestions for how you too can enjoy spending time with your family this summer in the Binghamton area. I’m also excited to introduce to the latest development in software which will assist in smile makeovers by actually simulating what you would look like with straighter teeth, whiter teeth, and more! Lastly, I’m thrilled to provide information about our new Lalor Scholarship Program in which we will be providing up to ten $1000 scholarships to patients pursuing careers in a dental or other health related field.

We have been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for 9 years now! The award is an opportunity for the Chamber to show their appreciation to members for supporting and investing in the community.

Lalor Family Dental & The Binghamton Mets Summertime and baseball season are upon us! If you have been to a Binghamton Mets game you

may have spotted our giant red toothbrush feverishly cleaning off bases during an interactive in-game contest. Or maybe for the game on May 9th you saw some familiar faces from around the office as the Lalor Family Dental Team had an all-staff outing to the Binghamton Mets game against the Harrisburg Senators (photos below)!

Don’t worry, our staff weren’t the only ones to get to a game and have some fun this Spring; to celebrate our 50th Anniversary this year we also gave away 150 Binghamton Mets tickets to patients this May. Summertime is Here!Summer is a great time to relax, and soak up some sun, but tell that

to kids who are bouncing off the walls or shrieking “I’m bored” every five minutes! So how can you keep kids entertained, active and out of trouble for an entire summer? The trick is to plan ahead. Brainstorm ideas for things to do now, so you don’t wind up spending the entire summer watching cartoons. If you need inspiration, here are some ideas:

1. Take a hike in Wolfe Park on Dorman Road, in Binghamton, NY—the trails vary in length, so pick one that is right for you.

2. Visit the Zoo at Ross Park and say hello to the new otter pups.

3. Wash the cars together—get chores done and have some fun!

4. Go stargazing—try the “Sky Map” smart phone app.

5. Build a fort out of blankets, sheets and pillows.

6. Go to a festival! From The Strawberry Fest in Owego to the Spiedie Fest and Balloon Rally in Binghamton, you’re sure to find tons of festivals to attend this summer!

7. Have a water balloon or squirt gun fight—get active, stay cool, and have a ton of fun!

8. Last but not least: get your teeth cleaned! Summer is a great time to get those regular hygiene appointments taken care of while the kids are out of school!
