We are looking for special music for Sundays throughout the
summer for our Sunday worship service. Anyone who would
like to contribute their talent, please see Phyllis Keck or call the office.
Property Committee Announcements
All cemetery decorations will be removed from the cemetery the last
week in June. So if anyone has a decoration on a gravesite they do
not want discarded, they must remove it prior to these weeks.
Are you traveling this summer? If so we would like to pray for you in
your travels. Please give your name to the church office with the
dates you will be away and we will remember you by name in the
prayers for that Sunday's worship! Please give your name by Tuesday
of the week that you would like your name mentioned, and God bless
you on your travels!

Pastor Mary Anne’s Message …
St. Paul loves to use imagery to describe the body of Christ, especially the image of a human body. In his Letter to the Church at Corinth he describes what happens when one member of the body is suffering, and how one member’s suffering can im-pact the entire body.
Perhaps you have experienced losing a finger or toe nail in your lifetime. A nail may seem rather insignificant, yet you truly appreciate it when one is missing or injured. Your finger or toe suddenly becomes more vulnerable, and it can really be painful. It can take quite a while for it to grow back, and you definitely notice its absence.
So it is here in the Church. When someone is missing the body is not complete, and it is noticeable, not just to the Pastor but to the whole gathering. You can almost feel the difference in the air. Sometimes we know why that body is missing, other times we do not. But it does impact the whole body!
And when someone is suffering we also notice. While we cannot know exactly what one may be experiencing we can pray and support one another in other ways. And we certainly have our fair share of suffering. Our prayer list seems to grow longer each week, but we must remain confident in our work as the body of Christ! When one part of our body is missing or hurting, be it a fingernail or a hand, other parts step in to help do the work of the body of Christ.
Please remember that you are essential to the body of Christ and each one of us has important gifts and functions to help our Lord and each other.
In Christ,
Pastor Mary Anne
Our Loaves and Fishes Campaign has raised $668! This far exceeds are ex-
pectations. Thanks to all!!
On June 8th, we offer prayers and congratulations to our 4 confirmands:
Megan Walter, Hayla Wilhelm, Hunter Long and Jordan McFadden.

CONCORDIA’S 3rd ANNUAL YARD SALE
Saturday, June 14, 2014 8 am to 2 pm
Our neighboring development is holding their annual yard sale on June 13 & 14. Once again, it’s the perfect time to get to know our neighbors and be-come a relevant force in our community as well as participate in a creative application of evangelism
We see many fellowship opportunities in the planning, preparation and sale, but look forward to welcoming our neighbors to Concordia that we know and love. We will have tables selling all donated items all to the benefit of Con-cordia. Baked goods are welcomed as we plan to have a food & beverage stand and more. Individual spaces will be available to all applicants for a $15.
Consider volunteering and sharing in the fun and friendship. We’re collecting items in the middle downstairs classroom beside the Adult classroom. Please help us to make this another rousing success for Concordia!
Please sign up in the west narthex if you can help on the 14th! Co-Chairs: Carol McDonald Carole Daley 394-8119 [email protected]
