I love thinking about God and I am fairly certain that if you are reading this news letter you do as well. Sometime

ago I put together a list of things that I think are great concerning who God is. I posted these on my blog which you can

subscribe to at www.pastorpete.org. These great things about God are not in any particular order, they are just ten of the

most wonderful things I have discovered about my creator over the years. I pray that you might consider these great

things about God as we move through the summer.

His Unsearchable Wisdom- Romans 11:33–36 (NET) —33Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of

God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how fathomless his ways! 34For who has known the mind of the Lord, or

who has been his counselor? 35Or who has first given to God, that God needs to repay him? 36For from him and

through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever! Amen.

His Unsurpassed Peace- Philippians 4:7 (NET) —7And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard

your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

His Unfathomable Love- Ephesians 3:16–19 (NET) —16I pray that according to the wealth of his glory he may grant

you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person, 17that Christ may dwell in your hearts through

faith, so that, because you have been rooted and grounded in love, 18you may be able to comprehend with all the saints

what is the breadth and length and height and depth,19and thus to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so

that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

His Unspeakable Gift-2 Corinthians 9:15 (NET) —15Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

His Uncomprehendable Ways- Isaiah 55:8–9 (NET) —8“Indeed, my plans are not like your plans, and my deeds are

not like your deeds, 9for just as the sky is higher than the earth, so my deeds are superior to your deeds and my plans

superior to your plans.

His Unending Faithfulness-Hebrews 13:5–6 (NET) —5Your conduct must be free from the love of money and you must

be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you and I will never abandon you.”6So we can say

with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

His Unfailing Mercy-Lamentations 3:22–23 (ESV) —22The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never

come to an end; 23they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

His Unshakable Protection-Psalm 46:1–3 (NET) —1God is our strong refuge; he is truly our helper in times of trou-

ble. 2For this reason we do not fear when the earth shakes, and the mountains tumble into the depths of the sea, 3when

its waves crash and foam, and the mountains shake before the surging sea.

His Unceasing Work In Me-Philippians 1:6 (NET) —6For I am sure of this very thing, that the one who began a good

work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

His Unending Kindness-Romans 2:4 (NET) —4Or do you have contempt for the wealth of his kindness, forbearance,

and patience, and yet do not know that God’s kindness leads you to repentance…

I know the summer is a busy time. We become overwhelmed with vacation, sports camps for the kids, Vacation

Bible School, work, and a variety of other activities. It seems like during the summer it’s easy to forget about God and

He moves further down on our list of priorities. I want to encourage you to think about our Great God everyday.

Attend church every weekend even if you are out of town. Read your Bible everyday, and share your faith wherever

you may go in the months ahead. May God bless us all this summer! I hope to see you this Sunday at Cowboy

Fellowship.

CAMO Hand Gun event on May 11th was a great success. We had a great turnout of 24 shooters and a lot of spectators. There were 15 targets, 18 shots and three sets of targets over the course. Some of the best scores were in the 46 second range. It was an incredi-ble time and the weather was beautiful, cloudy with a good breeze. Fun was had by all. Here is a link to a video of the event it really speaks for its self.

Dear Family and Friends, May 8, 2013

Thank you all so much for praying with us the past few months as we have struggled through the difficulties of adopting from Karamoja. The all too frequent trips down to Kampala, hours and hours of standing in lines, lost passports by immigration officials, uncertainties of visas, all the while trying to live and minister in Karamoja has been an interesting challenge for our family. We are so happy to say that we have our passports, we have our visas, and we will be arriving in the U.S. on May 24th for a 3 ½ month stay. We are so excited to see our friends, our families, our churches, have fellow-ship, hear what God is doing among you, and share what He is doing in Karamoja. We will come back to that in a second.

As we prepare to leave in 2 weeks, we would like to share with you what God is doing and ask for your continued prayers. We are leaving our team-mates Andrew and Kerri Meador to carry on the work of our two families. Please keep them in your prayers as they travel between Kotido and Kaceri weekly, keeping up with the churches, managing the Akiru project, and discipling the believers there. If anyone would like to come spend a month or two this summer in Karamoja helping the Meadors, we would love to have you, just let us know.

Church Planting and discipleship are coming along well. We leave Wari, our trusted helper and fast growing disciple to take care of the believers in our area. Wari is currently working with 3 churches, 3 children's ministries in different villages, and several young men he is discipling. Wari will also be taking care of our house and our dogs and cats while we are gone. Wari has a great heart but he is still young in the faith, without any peers who are living for God. There is plenty of room for the enemy to attack so please keep him in your prayers. The village of Maaru is our most established church and has been meeting for one year now. We have baptized 65 believers in that church and Wari will continue to work with them. Wari will also be going weekly to a village about 25 miles away. It is rainy season and the roads are treacherous. Wari has a beat up old bicycle. Pray for his protection on the muddy roads, for energy to make that trip each week and a passion for the gospel that will never grow old or tire.

Our friend John Ewar is also here continuing to labor for the kingdom. John has 32 churches that he oversees. They are all village churches with no one who can read so they really depend on John to teach them the word. We recently had some friends from The Gathering Church in Colorado donate 30 audio bibles in the Karimojong language, so we hope to get those loaded and out to all these places in the next month. John is sixty years old, been a believer for 25 years and never grows tired of sharing the gospel. He travels by foot or bicycle for weeks at a time preaching and teaching before com-ing home. Pray for safety for John and his family as John continues to labor for the kingdom.

God is really moving in this region and we want to see leaders raised up to carry on the work. We have been priviledged to see people come to Christ, to see healings, and watch God bestow his great mercy on our people. A few weeks ago, Andrew and I went to spend a couple nights in the village of Maaru. After finishing all the work for the day, the people would gather in the yard where we were staying. The sick would come to be prayed for, we would sing for hours and preach the word till late into the night. A woman came for prayer who had an arm that had been in constant pain for 20 years. We prayed for her and kept on worshipping. A man came whose eyes had been hurting for 5 days and he couldn't see. He didn't know what was happening to his eyes and wanted us to pray. We prayed that God would heal the sick so that His glory would be made known and so that we would be accepted as his messenger, verified by Him. As we made the rounds the next morning the woman told us that she was pain free for the first time in 20 years and the young man's eyes were working fine. God is still on his throne doing what he's been doing for thousands of years. I can say that my faith increased on that day. John went to a village a week before this and was led to a lady believed to be demon possessed. He prayed for her the whole day to be free of the demons. That night the demons left her and she stopped breathing. He was broken and couldn't believe what had hap-pened. He didn't accept it and kept on praying. After 3 more hours of praying the lady arose, alive, and free of torment! Our faith is increased and we praise God because it is His glory we seek.

As we leave Karamoja for this short season, we leave our home and we leave where God is moving. But we have to. We have to see you all face to face, reconnect, hear your stories, and share ours. We long to be with you, to thank you in person for all your prayers, countless hours of prayers by hundreds of prayer warriors. 10 minutes of prayer a day by 500 prayer warriors for the Williams or for Karamoja equals 83 hours of prayer each day. We want to encourage you to keep on; there is so much more to be done.

We would love to spend time with each of you if you would have us. If you are a part of a church and would like us to speak, we would love to share our stories. If you can fit us in to your busy schedules, we want to be a part. Just send us an email and tell us when you would like us to come.

We are also looking for a vehicle that can fit our family of 9. If anyone of you know of a van that we could buy, borrow, or rent for 3 months, please let us know. Below is included a prayer list that we would ask you to join us in.

Prayer Requests.

Wari – to stand firm in the faith and grow during our time away.

Meadors – to be able to handle all their work and ours while we are gone.

Transportation – That God would provide something for us to drive while in the states.

Finances – Plane tickets, travel in the US and all that other costly stuff (thank you to those of you who have already given to this need!).

Laborers – Luke 10:2 we need laborers in Karamoja.

Helping Hands

Page 17

The Helping Hands Ministry met at Cowboy Fellowship on Thursday, May 16th to

help put together the children’s ministry lessons. Several of the team members

were missing due to illness and being out of town. They met at Café Chris and join-

ing the team for lunch was Scotty Smith the associate pastor and Tanner Butkay

the youth pastor. After a delicious meal and great fellowship some of the Helping

Hands returned to the church to finish putting the lessons together.
