How Can You Prepare for What Lies Ahead?

What is a major, underlying crisis of our time?

Deuteronomy 28:37 “You shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all nations where the Lord will drive you.”

Deuteronomy 4:23-27 “Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the Lord your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the Lord your God has forbidden you. For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

(continuing) “When you beget children and grandchildren and have grown old in the land, act corruptly and make a carved image in the form of anything, and do evil in the sight of the Lord your God to provoke Him to anger, I call heaven and earth to witness against you ... and the Lord will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the Lord will drive you.”

Ezekiel 20:12-13, 16) “Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them. Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, which, if a man does, he shall live by them; and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths ...they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols.”

Luke 4:16 “So He [Jesus] came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.”

:31-32 “Then He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths. And they were astonished at His teaching, for His word was with authority.”

:38-41 “All those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of God!’ And He, rebuking them, did not allow them to speak, for they knew that He was the Christ.”

Mark 2:27 “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.”

:28 “Therefore, the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”

What is Jesus Christ’s plan for your success and future in the Kingdom of God?

Hebrews 2:10-11 (NIV) “In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. Both the one who makes men holy [Christ] and those who are made holy [repentant and converted human beings] are of the same family.”

1 John 3:1-3 “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! … Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”

Romans 8:16, 17 (KJV) “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

Revelation 11:15 “The kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ.”

Revelation 21:7 “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.”

Acts 14:22 “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”

Hebrews 11:13, 16 “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth ... Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.”

Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel [good news] of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

Matthew 6:33 “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.”
