Last Day of School June 27th is the last full day of classes before Summer break. Please notify the office if your child will be away prior to this date. Classes for the 2019-20 school year will resume on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019. Please choose safety over Convenience:

• Please refrain from walking through the staff parking lot. • Please use the drop-off zone only and refrain from entering the staff parking lot to drop off children. • Please be mindful of the speed limit along our very busy streets. • Watch for our student patrols, respecting their directions and ensuring you as a driver allow families to cross the Boulevard safely. • Please refrain from blocking driveways or parking illegally. Thank you for your follow-through so that everyone in our community stays safe!

Year-end Stampeders tailgate party, school fundraiser and teacher appreciation All CCSD staff, students and their families are invited to a year-end tailgate party with the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday, June 29th. Tickets to the game against the BC Lions are available for only $27. $5 from every ticket sold will go back to our school. Those that purchase fewer than 20 tickets will have their donations pooled and donated to the Calgary Catholic Education Foundation. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.stampeders.com/CCSD. As part of a teacher appreciation night, all CCSD teachers can purchase tickets to the June 29 game for only $20; tickets include a hamburger and draft beer or soft drink. Cobs Bakery When you purchase any goods from the Cobs store in Mahogany, please mention you belong to St. Isabella. A small amount of proceeds will go back to the school for much-needed school items! Thank you.

Junior High Transportation Rebate Reminder The end of June is fast approaching, and so is the end of the school year. A reminder to all Junior High students that all bus passes must be scanned before the end of the day on June 27, 2019. Bus pass scans after June 8th will be processed and paid on July 31, 2019. Any outstanding passes after June 27, 2019 will forfeit payment. Any questions, or concerns, please refer to the terms and conditions of the rebate program that can be found on page 2 of the application form. 1st Class After Class at St. Isabella School-Registration is now open! The Before and After school care provider will be 1st Class After Class. Junior High Final Exams and Provincial Achievement Tests As the year end approaches, we want to make families aware of some of the year-end and final exam procedures. Starting on June 19th, all Junior High students will begin writing final exams and Provincial Achievement Tests (Gr. 9 only). Our Junior High final exam schedule follows the grade 9 PAT schedule as set out by the Province of Alberta. Please see the table below for specific dates and times:

1. For final exams after Aboriginal Day, students will be dismissed at 10:45am if completed, with a

global dismissal of 11:15am for those requiring additional time. We make every effort to start exams at 9:15, but these times can vary.

2. The City of Calgary Bus 892 transit service will continue to pick students up in the morning at their usual times for the entire exam week. Please note, the same service will be provided after exam time at 11:15. Students must pay regular fare or use their regular bus pass. Students who remain here beyond 11:15 are asked to make alternative arrangements to get home or check the City Transit website for alternative times.

3. Students are asked to bring their textbooks on the day of the exam. If students forget to bring their textbooks, they will be asked to bring them on the following day. If students lose a textbook, they will be issued a written statement for the replacement cost of the textbook.

4. On the morning of Wednesday, June 19, and the afternoon of Friday, June 21, students will be in tutorials to prepare for their final exams. Attendance is mandatory on these days.

We wish everyone the very best of luck during exam week. SAVE THE DATE: Junior High Honour Roll Breakfast will take place on the morning of Tuesday June 25th @ 7:45am with the presentation starting at 8:00am. Grade 9 Students-Please mark your Calendars:

• Bishop Grandin High School Meet the T.A. Information Evening for all in-coming Grade 10 students has been re-scheduled from Thursday, June 6th to Wednesday, June 26th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you on June 26th.

• All Saints High School BBQ meet the Connect Teacher on Wednesday, August 28, at 5:30 pm.

Final Progress Reports Report Cards will be distributed on Thursday, June 27th the last day of school. If you are leaving earlier than June 27th, please provide the school with a self-addressed stamped (3 stamps) 9X12 envelope so we can mail your child’s progress report to you. Unfortunately progress reports will not be distributed earlier. Please note that if you do not provide us with the stamped envelope the progress report will not be mailed. The office will reopen on August 20, 2019. Paint the Pavement-New Event DATE! Please join us on Friday, June 28, 2019 anytime from 10am - 4pm for Paint the Pavement.
