Video Camera Needed to Tape Weekend Masses Sacred Heart Church is looking to borrow a video camera to record our weekend Mass to be televised for the homebound for a few months. If you have one that you are not using and would be willing to let us borrow, please contact the Church office at 641-732-4342. Camera must be able to use a standard SD card. Masses may not be televised, due to our current video camera not working. Pondering Parables with Padre (Popcorn provided) St. Isidore Catholic Community is sponsoring a series discussing parables led by Fr. Burkle. Bring your Bible — we will have some on hand. For all Parishioners / families with children 2nd grade & up. Wednesday evenings — 6:30-7:30pm June 20—at Sacred Heart // June 27—at Visitation July 11—at Sacred Heart // July 18—at Visitation // July 25—at Sacred Heart Then the disciples came to Jesus and asked him, Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?How does one speak about things that cannot be fully explained? You see stories and analogies. Jesus used parables. Then after hearing them, the people were encouraged to reflect on them to get a deeper understanding. In parables, there are many ways of looking at them, and not everyone will come to the same conclusion. June 17 — “The Shared Table” – A Community Meal Everyone is invited to join us at Osage United Church of Christ, 630 State St, Osage, serving 5:00-6:00pm on Sunday, June 17, for a free hot meal. The meals will continue every third Sunday of the month. Individuals and families who are in need of food assistance are especially welcome.

June 22 — Floyd County Relay for Life Floyd County Relay for Life will be held on Friday, June 22, at Central Park in Charles City starting at 5:00pm.

June 24 — Stacyville KC Meeting The Stacyville KC’s will be holding their June meeting on Sunday, June 24, at 7:00pm in the Visitation Church Hall. There will be election of officers. All members are encouraged to attend.

June 24 — Mitchell County Relay for Life Omelet Breakfast Mitchell County Relay for Life Omelet Breakfast will be held on Sunday, June 24, from 8am to 1pm at the American Legion Hall in Osage. 3 egg omelet with all the trimming, potatoes, sweet rolls, coffee & juice. Cost is $7.00. Help fight cancer.
